If Kronner is the one being placed on LTI it doesnt make sense to place May on waivers. Unless they are also trying to pick someone up and need the cap space for that. Based on salaries there are only 3 that combined with May make up what we need to clear for Lilija.

Lebda + May

Big E + May

or Maltby + May

Everyone else that could be combined with May is either still not enough or more than enough on their own.

Williams looked alright out there last night so that is a positive for his trade value...I suppose.

Out of all the teams in attendance last night, who would J-Willy help out the most?

...by the way, it would be nice if your jersey avatar came true someday (as much as I hate playing against him)>

Agreed, seems silly to waive May if putting Kronner on LTIR frees up the needed cap space... anyone know the rules on that?

How about Williams for Ott, straight up? They are both UFAs that make 1.5 mil.

But seriously, I wouldn't mind if the Wings held onto Williams as he has looked alright since he came back but salary cap reasons might force him out.

Bite your tongue sir. I pray that he will never ever come here. Hes nothing but a goon.

Really? He seems like a guy that gets under the other teams skin... he does it to us and many others all the time.

Either way, it ain't happening this year.

something else is in the works - this move, combined with all the scouts there last night... something is up...

Are these moves official or just being reported by McKenzie?

I'm surprised that TSN or TSN2 isn't covering this mini-trade-deadline the way they cover the actual trade-deadline.

You know... all day coverage and wild speculation.

Most likely the ratings weren't expected.

He is one of those guys that you are supposed to hate...until he wears the jersey of your favourite team. Ott would work here but not for his salary. He was a major pain in the ass in the 2008 WCF, a positive pain in the ass (for the Stars).

Ive seen him take way to many cheap shots over the years. Not a fan. I would be pretty disgusted if Kenny thought this guy was what the Wings needed.

Trade Filppula and a 2nd Rd pick for Horton? Release May & Lebda. Get it done Kenny!

Yea, because Fla wouldn't want more than that in return and we'd still be in cap hell... <_<

I hate trade proposals on this board... they're never even close to logical...

Okay, howsabout TSN8? :yowza:

I usually take the day off to watch the trade deadline... even though it's typically not worth it.

Today, I don't have to work until this evening... so, I wouldn't mind having it on while doing stuff around the house.
