jollymania 162 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/trade/2010/.../atl_ana_trade/ Meanwhile, the Thrashers have signed Chris Chelios, who played with the Wolves.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 The Trashers is exactly the kind of team that could use a guy like Cheli on a 3rd pairing.
ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 Odd, considering the fact that Chelios repeatedly said how happy he was playing in the AHL with Chicago. Ah well, good luck Cheli!
up2here 41 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 I recently made a thread about Chelly's performance in the AHL. I thought that there had to be an NHL team that could use him as their 6th or 7th man.

IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 Odd, considering the fact that Chelios repeatedly said how happy he was playing in the AHL with Chicago. Ah well, good luck Cheli! Considering playing in the AHL or the big time it is not at all odd to me. Playing with the wolves was just him advertising his skill set. All in all I am very happy for the Vet. As someone said above me this is exactly the kind of team I thought should have done this some time ago. Go Cheli!!!
cjm502 165 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 Congrats to him. Not many players in todays NHL have the potential of playing as long as Chelios has, his love for the sport is unbelievable. A spot in the NHL's front office should be reserved for him.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted March 2, 2010 So is he going to suit up for them or what? Sucks that they're not in the playoffs, because I'd love to see him push his record number of playoff games up even further.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 3, 2010 I saw Cheli play in October (here, Wolves v. Texas Stars). He looked great out there. The kids on his team were glued to him while he was on the ice -- it was pretty clear, they were soaking up every move he made out there. He's still got it. I hope he gets to play. * he spotted me standing at the glass during warm-up, me in my Wings jersey, of course. I got a thumbs-up and one of those patented Chelios smirks. Made my night!
