Ray Ferraro just made an interesting point on TSN. The officials have told both benches that the first guy mixing it up in scrums is going to get a penalty, and that's it. Only one penalty, and it's to the guy who starts it.

Interesting way to regulate the after-the-play-nastiness.

Thats how it should be.

why are the refs trying so hard to stop fights in the post season?

They don't want a national audience seeing fighting.

You'd rather SJ have free reign to goon it up with the game spiraling out of hand for them?

I think the refs made the right move with that decision.

Wow ... just wow. Why don't the boys put it in this gear in games 1-3? Only today and game 7 with Phoenix do they play like this.

kinda makes you wonder what if huh?

Franzen hasn't scored in over five minutes. Must be hurt. :P

I know why is he still on the ice right? Babcock must have it out for him... :P

it's not just in this series. even in the pens/canadians game right now. i'll admit, i'm pretty new to hockey. i'm just amazed at how differently the refs act during the regular season and playoffs.
