Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Salei's name is now being erased from the penalty area of the boxscore, since it's pretty much put there preemptively every game.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 “I gave Rusty an extra day, he’s been without his family all year and his wife is pregnant. I think it’s important for Jake to get playing right away and we just plan on throwing him in and playing him.”Read more: Kindl in tonight as Wings take on Wild | freep.com | Detroit Free Press http://www.freep.com/article/20101226/SPORTS05/101226008/Kindl-in-tonight-as-Wings-take-on-Wild#ixzz19FGmhobI That's really awesome. 1 dobbles reacted to this
nate94gt 134 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Salei's name is now being erased from the penalty area of the boxscore, since it's pretty much put there preemptively every game. Right. Cuz he leads the team in pim /sarcasm
Jesusberg 1,256 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Nice on the team to let Rusty spend some more time with his wife. They treated Stuart in a similar fashion when he first came over, and his wife was also pregnant. Little moves like that show players in the league the way Wings management treats its team. Only thing I take issue with is Miller on the 3rd line instead of Eaves. Unless I'm mistaken, Patty's had 3 goals in his past 4 games, showing flashes of that offense he once possessed. Going to have to be a solid team effort tonight.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 That's awesome by the Wings to let Salei spend some extra time with his family, and it's also good for Kindl to get the chance in the NHL every now and then.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 Good move for everyone. Gives Kindl some needed game time to keep him fresh and ready should he be needed, and gives Rusty some time with his family. Good for the Wings to do that for him.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 The Wings are a class organization. Not only does that give him the ability to spend some time with his family/pregnant wife, but it also will eliminate the obligatory Salei penalty he always takes. Very sneaky, Babs. Very sneaky. Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted December 26, 2010 kindl doesn't have a single point kind of surprising Ah yes, the dreaded Red Wing rookie 7th DMan syndrome.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Wait, if he's been without his family all year, how did his wife get preg...uh oh.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Wait, if he's been without his family all year, how did his wife get preg...uh oh. Maybe that's why Babs is letting him stay behind. He has some "business" to "take care of".
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Wait, if he's been without his family all year, how did his wife get preg...uh oh. He's a guy. He only has to be there for the fun part. He had all summer for that.
dobbles 252 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Is it me or do the minuses just seem to follow Kindl around? thanks to the +2 tonight he is actually +5 in his last 5 games. though i am sure he could use a point or two for his confidence now.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 I thought he looked really good tonight, was impressed with how easily he stepped back into the line-up after such a long NHL absence.
Shady Ultima 40 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Wait, if he's been without his family all year, how did his wife get preg...uh oh. Well, we're only 3-4 months into the season, so depending when she got pregnant...

zetterbergfan 23 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 I think they should rotate Kindl in now and then anyhow. They do it with the forwards (when healthy).
Jesusberg 1,256 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Oddly enough, it was his defensive play that impressed me a few times tonight. He played a couple situations very well positionally, and I even recall one play where he did his best Lids impression and knocked the puck off with his "active stick" (Damn you Pierre McGuire). Travis 576 Report post Posted December 27, 2010 Kindl looked solid, but the class of the organization to give Salei an extra day off is more impressive.
