Catch all threads like this should be created/modified by mods and they should keep a running list that is updated on the first page of the thread, it becomes awfully scattered the way it is now...

On to the Ladd signing, that is a good deal for WPG, he really found his groove there and seems to make a great captain for them...

Miller can play on just about any line and not look out of place. He's one of our best PKers and can chip in with points.

Konopka is one of the best faceoff guys in the league, but we have two perfectly fine bottom 6 centers (Helm and Abdelkader) who are good at draws. His AHL point totals are irrelevant. Despite being "the perfect fourth line centre," he ranked 12th on the Islanders in SHTOI/G yet was on ice for the most PPG against. The only thing significant he has over Miller or any of our other bottom 6 players is that he can fight. I like him but he's basically a faceoff/fight specialist and the Wings really don't have much room for "specialists."

I was away from the internets the past few days and would someone enlighten me to any story as to why Kenny gave Ericcson that much money!?!?!! Please and thank you because I'm still baffled. rolleyes.gif

The rest of us have had access to the internet and are still baffled as to how he got that kind of money...haha

Phew good thing I'm not the only one! Especially since a mediocre team would have probably signed him for that much... talk about overpaying!

I'm fairly certain yes. I'm not an expert on arbitrary hearings though. Do you know if players can reject their arbitration awards and become UFAs?

No.

http://proicehockey.about.com/od/nhlfreeagents/a/arbitration.htm

A decision must be made within 48 hours of the hearing. When the decision is announced, the team has the right to decline, or "walk away" from the award. If the team exercises this right, the player can declare himself an unrestricted free agent.

Only the team can reject. They always have the power when it comes to the RFA process.
