Something for a change from trade talks....

TSN Story

Forsberg's number (21) will join those of Patrick Roy(33), Joe Sakic(19) and Ray Bourque (77) in the rafters at Pepsi Center.

They will be holding the ceremony prior to the season home opener.

Ehh I don't know if I would agree with this or not. I mean don't get me wrong Forsberg was an INCREDIBLE player in my opinion, but I think teams need to stop retiring players numbers so loosely. I mean all those injuries and years off and attempts at comebacks, I don't think he falls into the "retired number category". Now if he was healthy and continued playing throughout the years you bet I would say #21 needs to be hanging up in the rafters. Don't even get me started on the Bourque thing. He played 1 year in an Av's jersey. Boston should be the only place his number is hanging. Look how many years Chelios helped the wings out you don't see his number up hanging...

I concur Borque's numbers should be hung from the rafters in Boston not Colorado that's just dumb. I mean Brett Hull's Number was hung from St. Louis' rafters not Dallas' nor Detroit's.
