When asked about his hockey future, Avery said, "I am officially retired. I threw my skates in the Hudson."

Tootoo does NOT belong on this team. He is classless and I would rather see the Wings be bad than classless. I feel the same way about Bertuzzi as well, but he at least CAN make the team better. With Tootoo the team becomes worse and in danger of being classless. Would you have liked Claude on the team? Or Roy? No. So why would you be okay with that POS.

I'm glad Avery isn't on the Wings, because yes, he is a douchebag. But wow, some of the comments are just...wow.
I'm not sure what the big deal is and why people are so offended by him here, maybe he reminds them of some bully or type of person they couldn't deal with in their personal lives. I don't know, I'm not a psychologist. If you've ever read any of Tucker Max's stuff, you know the type of person I'm talking about.
I was one of the few on here that defended him in the whole overblown 'sloppy seconds', "I'm bored with my life so let's make fun of this dbag because I probably hate my boss" 20 page thread that happened here.
Not because what he did was right but because really... who gives a s***? He's a character and people are going to either completely like that type of personality or despise it.
