This is bad news. :( As much as I'd like him back on the ice, I would rather him take as long as he needs so that it's healed up. Get well soon Darren!

Thanks Offsides

Concussion. No need to rush it and ruin his career

MCL is the best structure in your knee to hurt actually ... its painful and not fun, but regardless of the degree of strain or tear almost never requires surgical repair and typically recovers full ROM and strength. Better than getting a meniscus chopped out or an ACL rebuilt by a long shot. I certainly hope Helm hasnt played his last game of the season - if he comes back it wont be until the 2nd round at the earliest.

Out with concussion-like symptoms. I'd be surprised if he's back this season.

Its a bummer, but Helm could be back in round 1 or round 2 of the playoffs. Thats good news. Its better than an MCL or ACL tear thats for sure.

hopefully he heals quickly and is back for the playoffs at most only missing 1 or 2

This is better news than I thought. I was expecting much longer than a month or so. In any event it will be a good boost to get that type of energy in the midst of the playoffs.

We don't really have anyone else who can be an effective workhorse as a 3rd line center. Maybe Abby, but I think Helm is better at center than he is.

We've already been playing useless Emmerton on the 4th line all season as a center. Does he move up one line now?
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

s*** on a stick.

Helm has been one of our best and hardest working players night in and night out.

3rd line should go Miller-Abby-Cleary
4th line will stay Homer-Emmerton-Mursak

andersson up? honestly our 4th line just looks like a compilation of spare parts. Homer-Emmertom-Mursak does not have chemistry or a distinct style of play. You have homer just trying to keep up, mursak all over the place, and emmerton getting beat physically by gritty fourth line guys. We need to address this and andersson has the size to play 4th line centre over emmerton.

I'd rather see this overall for a deeper looking bottom 6.

3rd line Miller-Abby-Mursak
4th line Homer-Andersson-Cleary

Sheahan is a lock to be signed to the team next season. All of these injuries really are showing how vital depth centers really are. I'd rather have Riley than emmerton or any other young pup centers we have in our minors right now.
