I wonder if the Flyers are going to struggle a bit now. I think their "Cup" was almost beating the Penguins....maybe moreso with their fans, but I bet it has rubbed onto some of the players at least as well.

They need to get their goaltending in order if they want to go much further.

I have no faith in the Devils after watching them struggle against the Panthers. Plus, Marty was 1-3 against them in the regular season, not that that means anything. Flyers in 5.

Philly can't win the Cup without goaltending, but they'll be NJ. Philly in 6.
Check out my short e-book on the Red Wings' 1937 Stanley Cup championship entitled: "Nothing Could Keep 'Em Down." Please download it from my profile at Smashwords: https://www.smashwor...ile/view/victor

New e-book: The Spanish-American War: A Brief History. Relatively short, introductory read for casual history buffs and people who want to learn more about a forgotten war that changed America. Available at BN.com, Smashwords, Kobo, and Diesel E-Books right now. Same link as above.

I'd like both teams loose big, like being swept...
Unfortunately, it is impossible in one round...

NJD in 6 then. I don't believe crappy will goaltending take flyers far.

Flyers in 6
Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chance, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

Yeah, I agree, Flyers in 6 maybe 5. If Brodeur were playing at even half his old self I'd say the Devils have an advantage in net. This would have been one of those series he maybe could have stolen because Philly's defense and netminding is horrid. I just hope in this backyard brawl that the Devils come out and beat the snot out of the Flyers in game 3 as I just got 4th row tickets. I never cheer FOR the Devils when I go. I hope for a good game, some nice plays, and maybe a good scrap. When the Flyers, in those stupid Halloween costumes, show up I've been known to join in on a "Let's go Devils" chant or two. I hate the Flyers. Always have.

I hope the Devils and Rangers both win, that'd be a fun couple weeks.

I was going to say, their offense has already proven to be able to bail out any poor goaltending.

Flower isn't exactly chopped liver. We of all people should know he's a very capable playoff goaltender. I think that his series this year was a fluke.

Haven't really watched much of Parise previously, but holy crap. He is an amazing player. I will be so happy if we get him, but unfortunately I'm doubtful. Posted Image
