FifeHockeyNut 57 Report post Posted October 8, 2012 (edited) That ruins any chance my Flyers had of being the top team in Scotland, really looking forward to Drew coming to Fife! Probably the closest I'll come to a Red Wings game!! Edited October 8, 2012 by FifeHockeyNut 2 Hockeymom1960 and MulesWillFly93 reacted to this
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted October 9, 2012 Wow, considering the British league is somewhere between the ECHL and AHL, he should absolutely tear the place up. If the lockout is still on in November I might just be making the trip to Nottingham to watch him play...
evilzyme 769 Report post Posted October 9, 2012 4th liner league. just kidding! it'll be good to give miller some ice time and confidence. should help him out in all honesty.
dobbles 252 Report post Posted October 9, 2012 Wow, considering the British league is somewhere between the ECHL and AHL, isn't that even a bit of a stretch? i was thinking that my local CHL team brought in someone from the EIHL and they had dominated there and was just a 2nd/3rd liner in the central hockey league. The British players are considerably below the ECHL level but certainly all the players I can think of from NA are all ECHL standard with some having decent AHL experience. Drew should tear it up. 1 dobbles reacted to this

FifeHockeyNut 57 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Scored his first goal tonight, from what I here he's still finding his game. Going to see him next week so we'll see how he fares then!
scottishwing 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Drew got an assist in his 1st game, scored in his 2nd game and got the GWG with 37 seconds left in his 3rd game. Settling in quite well and is a big fan favourite! Here is the highlights from his GWG game
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted October 30, 2012 Hopefully our Wings playing so well overseas will draw some more interest to the Wings once they come back home. At any rate, I'm learning about a lot of places with leagues that I would never have expected thanks to this lockout! Maybe it's not so bad for the game of hockey overall if it lets people like me discover new leagues. 1 scottishwing reacted to this

The Greek 323 Report post Posted November 19, 2012 I started watching the video and noticed that something was weird about it. I was unable to put my finger on it until about halfway through the video when I realized what it was... The clapping. The only sport for which I've seen spectators clap is golf. I guess that's Scotland for you.

FifeHockeyNut 57 Report post Posted December 6, 2012 Wee update. Drew is 13+12 in 16 games including a four goal game last night against Fife. He's absolutely flying, a clear elite player in the league. Although the less said about the four goals scored against fife the better.
