Datsyukian

Dat·syu·ki·an [dat-soo-kee-uh n]

adjective

          1. When your moves are so amazing and beyond reason, the only way to describe them is "datsyukian."

Watching this team growing up was so awesome, it's forever spoiled me as far as expectations for this team.

So what if Downey and Tootoo weren't defensemen.  We'll MAKE them defensemen.

Right?! Unbelievable team comp.. maybe my favorite part of the article: "The team is considered one of the most talented teams of all time with 10 then future-Hall-of-Famers on the team, as well as a hall of fame coach in Scotty Bowman."

I'm still convinced that this team was part of the reason the nhl started the salary cap :P

What's funny to me is the fact that not one player on that roster was a ppg player that year. Although 3 did score 30+ goals

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Well if I'm dreaming, then I'm on Datsyuks left wing and I am as big as Bertuzzi and as fast as Helm, with Z on the other wing, Lids and Vladdy on the blue line in front of Hasek. That's my Red Wings Dream Team
