10 NHL teams (all American - Canadians are too smart) now have their very own Snuggies you can buy at the NHL store per Puck Daddy.

Here's what Greg had to say about the Hawks one:

"FINALLY, a way to get Jonathan Toews into bed without having to turn down Patrick Kane first ..."

Laughed like a freakin' loon at work.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

I'm so glad you provided the link.  I thought Snuggies were diapers.

Money on the board:  Current total: $6

$1 for a goal by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster.  An additional $5 for a series-clinching goal scored by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster. $5 if the other team fails to score against a current Wing goalie after whom I have named a hamster.

Hamsters I have had:  (current Wings highlighted)

Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

Niklas Matthew Daniel Robert

Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

Jordin Damien Gustav James

Uncle Gary came up with the idea; he's been wearing them for years.

The description tells it all:

  • 100% Polyester
  • Measures approximately 48" x 71"
  • One size fits most
  • Blanket with sleeves
  • Sublimated graphics
  • Machine washable
  • Imported
  • Officially licensed

There are 11.

the article only mentions 7 of the 11 teams.

Tampa Bay Lightning

NY Rangers
Buffalo Sabres
Boston Bruins
Washington Capitals
St. Louis Blues
Chicago Blackhawks.

The other 4 teams that have snuggies available that weren't mentioned in puckdaddy article and because i actually took the time to go to the nhl website and clicked under shop and searched.

Philadelphia Flyers
New Jersey Devils
Pittsburgh Penguins
DETROIT RED WINGS!

When will the NHL® Official 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® version be available?

You missed it.  It was the Limited Edition NHL® Official 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® presented by Amway, General Electric, McDonald's, and Edna's Yam Emporium Snuggie.

It was only available on websites that you don't get, but because you live in an area which the NHL® says is supposed to get them, are blacked out because of contractual obligations.  The NHL® suggests that you pay them hundreds of dollars to get these websites, at which time they will allow you to read the fine print informing you that you can not get these websites.

The NHL® apologizes for the inconvenience, and will now lock out the players to negotiate this problem because the NHL® loves you, because you are the Best Fans in the World™.

Why do I get the feeling we'll be reposting this a lot during the next lockout?

I thought they were the little one piece deals with the feet that people dress their babies in.

In my mind, this is what Lids wears around the house in Sweden.

And what Yzerman secretly changes into when he's done doing gee emmy stuff in Tampa.

Talk about selling out the game of hockey. Hope, everyone who is ordering such stuff does so by using FAX or mail, instead of the NHL shop

Looks to be just another piece of cheezy merchendice sold by the NHL.  It's not the first time they've had pretty rediculous products you just roll your eyes to...and probably won't be the last

I did find a pretty interesting Daniel Cleary figurine.

Wings fans should throw the Snuggies on the ice during playoffs instead of octopi.

Why, because the 2 arms represent the second round of the playoffs, which we can't seem to get past?
