"The leader must never close the gap between himself and the group. If he does, he is no longer what he must be. He must walk a tightrope between the consent he must win and the control he must exert."
Vince Lombardi

When asked who won, Babcock said, “Well it doesn’t really matter as long as you don’t lose. It’s like going bear hunting, you take a slow guy with you in case the bear is hungry.”

Great links. I saw the goals link in the Malik Report before I left for my church gig but hadn't had a chance to watch it yet. They are a great way to help the mid August hockey deprivation we are all fighting.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

I was watching this yesterday, but I didn't have 45 mins to watch all of it so I'll have to take it a little at a time.

Just watched all 69 minutes and 14 seconds of this at work. I'll blame you SOW when I'm unemployed.

I really like this one. The guy who made it matched the music perfectly to Datsyuks goals. Gets me pumped for hockey season.

This is awesome.

Sidney who?

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

From the same user who made the video number9 posted...

What's absolutely amazed me over the years is how the NHL has completely failed to properly market and promote a player like Datsyuk.

These highlight-type videos always brings this issue to mind for me.

I get that he's Russian and that's not "ideal" for a North American audience but my god.... he is worth the price of admission alone.

Never thought of it like it, but very true. I think it's more Datsyuk than it is the NHL though. He's like the quietest, shyest, most humble hockey super star there is. Doubt he wants the attention. Crosby can be the ambassador, Dats lets his moves do the talking... Also he speaks very broken English lol

Every time I hear any reference to someone speaking broken English I immediately miss homer. Him and datsyuk could have their own comedy show lol

Where neither understands each other and anyone watching can only glean half of what is actually going on *hilarity ensues*

I imagine like a weird three stooges, except there's two of them, and one is the Swedish Chef from Sesame street.

Man... really need hockey to start soon...
