Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 No. According to many he is the second comig of Jesus Christ and will be the best goalie ever. Nobody is saying for crying out loud. I know we all love petr around here but McCollum has outplayed him by far this year. True but McCollum has been in the league longer and this is basically his last shot. He's had to produce. 1 sjr2012 reacted to this

Exactly. No one ever said that about Mrazek. We're excited about his potential and man, has he shown it. I wouldn't want Howard in a time share with Brodeur. At this stage, Jimmy is the better goalie and one the Wings have invested money and time in developing to be their guy. Exactly. Brodeur is going to want starts. He shouldn't get starts. He doesn't deserve starts. He deserves a nice cushy job with the Devils organization. Is he washed up? No. ...but we need to figure out what we've got in McCollum/Mrazek/restofthegoaliedepth, not bring in a guy that just wants "one more year."
wings4thecup06 504 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 It sounds like an anterior shoulder dislocation by the way it was described (i haven't seen it) and the fact that he basically landed on his outstretched arm. If he's torn one of the labrums then we're talking a couple months, and that's before talking about any possible rotator cuff muscle tears or strains. The shoulder joint is one of the weakest joints in the body as it is, which is why it's so flexible. The downside of that is the fact that it can get easily damaged. I'd say Petr will be here for a while, but the MRI will reveal the extent of the injury

wings4thecup06 504 Report post Posted November 7, 2014 well if that's the case we may be looking at the mrazek/Howie tandum a year early if his out most of the season good preview to see if the two He'll most likely be back by Christmas or just after is my bet. Datsyuk's was a minor sprain and he was gone for 4 weeks. But it's all dependent on how much damage there is and the extent of the injury. It's all just speculation at this point. Son of a Wing 1,644 Report post Posted November 13, 2014 Ever notice it's always the negative news that brings people back to LGW? When we're winning or just cruising along this site is pretty bare but us regulars. Then someone gets injured or we go on a losing streak and all of a sudden people are coming out of the wood works. 1 krsmith17 reacted to this
