We really need to come to the  reality that he'll go somewhere else  :unhappy:

What rival that doesn't make the playoffs would you rather see him go to?

This whole team Canada in the world juniors thing has me attached to him now. A Red Wings without Lafreniere is a future I do not want to imagine right now.

Americans are toast.

As questionable as Canada's leadership group was early in this tourney, at least they're not the US. Where were "Goal" Caufield and Trevor "Better than Seider" Zegras today?

Fins are always super underrated in these tournaments, they play a hell of a team game despite not having many big names. Did the same to Canada last year.

Meh. I'm no nationalist.

Someone else was questioning the leadership of Veleno and Hayton here earlier. Those two have responded well to early gaffs. Alas Zegras and co. get no second act. Just pointing this out. In my polite Canadian way.

Not gonna fault a Canadian for holding that position ;)

I honestly didn't watch much of the tourney. Glad Veleno is advancing and not Zegras.

Max and Prashanth were podding yesterday over at The Athletic about how Seider's probably been the best D-man in the tournament but won't make the all star team because the Germans faired so poorly. It's too bad.

I knew it would happen, but it's still such bull s***. I mean what do that they expect? The Germans have a handful of good players and their in the hardest group

Metal Gear is about memes now? I thaught it was abour, you know, metal gears...

Nah fam, it's always been about memes first and mechs second. (Actually, I'd argue it's never been about mechs at all; they're just plot fodder military porn MacGuffins that make for cool cutscenes and boss battles.) Especially Revengeance, which cranks the doofiness dial up to 11.

I only played the first MGS on PS1. Kinda memey when I think about it...

>Flanking Veleno

>Came back from big injury scare

The Virgin Byfield vs The Chad Baguette.

Not to mention that he loves to hit, and backchecks like a beast.

Absolutely. Dude is more skilled than everyone AND he plays a gritty, aggressive, heavy, well-rounded game. Total throwback player. Impossible not to love what he brings to the table.

Imagine having Bertuzzi, Hronek, Seider, Rasmussen, Smith, and Lafreniere all on the same team. Truculence for days.
