Ok, here's a scenario. With that D already in front of Cholowski, he will have to be waived when he doesn't make the team, then Detroit just picks him right back up!

Gotta assume Seattle will now flip some D? They have like 10-13 NHL level Dmen?

Yup. Could be that Francis was like "Y'know what? Just give me a ton of defensemen and let me set up my own economy."

To put things in perspective, this is what the Atlanta Thrashers got in 1999:

Each franchise was allowed to protect either one goaltender, five defensemen, and nine forwards or two goaltenders, three defensemen, and seven forwards instead of the 7 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 1 goaltender gifted to Vegas and Seattle.

I know who almost all of those players are and now I feel old.

Oh ******* god

Back when podcasts were in their infancy I used to listen to Marek vs Wyshynski. Abruptly stopped listening as soon as Marek left the show. That should say all I need to about Greg.

Wyshynski belongs to one of two groups:

Group 1: The type of person that s***s on other people for liking pumpkin flavored things in the autumn.

Group 2: The type of person that "ironically" defends pumpkin flavored things from people in Group 1 because he doesn't want to admit he secretly likes pumpkin lattes in November.
