What are the D pairs? Not sure I want Petry and Ghost as 2nd pair. Maatta would be my preference there. Ghost and Holl 3rd pair.

Wallman - Seider
Edvinsson - Holl
Chiarot - Petry

This is what I want to see. We are gonna have a top pair and a bottom four with rotating players. Ghost jumps in if Edgawd goe to GR.

Did the new AA stick?

No idea who you're talking about

Remaining invitees:

  • Artem Anisimov
  • Michael Hutchinson
  • Dean Loukas (20 year old, 5'10" RW, for Saginaw Spirit)
  • Nica Sima (18 year old, 6'4" RW, for Sagina Spirit)

Osgood and Devellano are minority owners of the Spirit. Loukas could be a nice depth addition for the Griffins or Walleye. Sima may be undrafted big body late bloomer they want to take a look at. Walleye could use some RW's.

Edvinsson is looking really really good in camp so far. Can't wait to see him during the preseason. I really liked the combination of him and Petry yesterday. Ideally Jeff Petry's style of play is exactly what you'd want from Edvinsson. If he can learn solid defensive play with good even strength offense he'll be an absolute force (think Jacob Slavin here). Petry can help with that. So far my defense pairings to start the season would be:

Walman-Seider

Edvinsson-Petry

Gostisbehere-Holl

Maatta

Hakan Anderson kind of ruined my expectations for for Edvinsson when he said that he saw Victor hedman potential with him

I don't think that's out of the question. Edvinsson is 20, he's far from being done developing. Hedman didn't really start dominating the NHL until his 3rd season in the league.
