Scott R Lucidi 663 Report post Posted April 17 Not a fan of how things went down last night. The Fix: play in games. MLB has it. NBA has it. Time for the NHL to have it. 1 Al The Octopus reacted to this

AtlantaHotWings 1,080 Report post Posted April 17 Don't you already have 82 games of play in already? Fix the points 3 for Reg win 2 for OT win 1 for getting to OT 0 for shootout win cause its just a skills competition at this point Or 2 for Reg win 1 for OT win You get nothing for getting to OT only winners get points
kipwinger 8,620 Report post Posted April 17 No thanks on the play in game. I don't really think any of Detroit, Washington, Philly, or Pittsburgh really deserved to make it considering how bad they all were down the stretch. It sucks that we missed out, but I'm more bummed that we didn't continue to play at the consistently high level we played at for most of the year. I like the parity, but I'd have rather seen a tight race between all those teams because they were all winning most night...not because they were all losing most nights. 2 AtlantaHotWings and Al The Octopus reacted to this

Meh - I'd rather see teams earn a spot in the playoffs via the regular season...It bites that we didn't make it, but thems the breaks considering our extended poor play during the months of December and March. 1 1 Akakabuto and kipwinger reacted to this

GMRwings1983 8,799 Report post Posted April 17 Play in games are stupid. They only exist for extra tickets and TV revenue. 82 games is enough time to give everyone a chance to qualify. 1 Motor City Mullets reacted to this
Scott R Lucidi 663 Report post Posted April 17 They should have OT start 5 on 5, have a horn go off at 50 seconds, 1:50, 2:50, and 3:50. Each team has 10 seconds to take 1 man off the ice every minute until it's 1 on 1 for the last minute. At 5 minutes, its a tie. No 3 pt games.

Axl Foley 317 Report post Posted April 27 (edited) Aren't the 82 regular season games essentially "play in" games? And why are they called "play in" games? The opposite of off is on and the opposite of in is out. Shouldn't they be called "play on" games?
