8 Legged RedWing

I started it last time, and we won, so until that fateful day when we fail to win, I guess I'm the starter.

 

Last game we did 300 posts for a win, and it was ok.  It took until overtime to win it, and we don't need all that extra wear and tear on our boys.

 

They need to give it 100% effort through the whole game.  If they do that, it will be easy as pie, and who knows more about pi than Wings fans?

 

(Ok, it's not exactly pie, but what's an e between friends?)

 

So, if we take the percent effort we need to win- 100- and multiply it by pi - 3.14- we get 314, which conveniently enough is the 300 posts we had last time plus the jersey of the dude who was the OT hero.

 

It was meant to be, my friends.  Fate.  Karma.  Kismet.  Call it what you will, but it is inspiring.

 

If we give the team 314 posts, maybe we can avoid overtime and enjoy a nice Red Wings victory without all the nail-biting.

I'm one of those old fuddy-duddys who think that octi should be reserved for the playoffs, but since this is as close as Dallas will get this year, it's kind of you to give them at least a taste of the playoff experience.

 

If you're really nervous about getting caught- wear a Stars jersey (get a cheap one at a thrift store) over a Wings t-shirt.  If the jersey is white and the t-shirt red, you might need a white t-shirt over the red one to camo the red.  Then once you get inside, give the Stars jersey to an underprivileged child (one whose parents haven't raised them as a Wings fan), ditch the white t-shirt (they're cheap at thrift stores) and wander about proudly wearing the Wings colours.

 

Or spend the game in a Stars jersey and when security asks who threw the octo, just shrug and ask them to explain icing.

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

I was thinking about taking one to get things amped up for the boys.  However, being an away arena, I'm fairly certain I'll get arrested or at least kicked out, so I would have to throw it towards the end of the game, hopefully when they are winning.  Although, I'd really love to throw it out early and give them some spark.  What do you think? How the hell do I get it in?

OK, tonight really really is the night when we win 14-3.  Dats with a goal and 13 assists.

Whatf****** team in this league scores one goal and expects to win? No team.

 

It doesn'tf****** matter how Jimmy plays if the team in front of him only scores once.

They did score more.  They scored 2.

I just feel really bad for Dan Cleary.

What exactly does that have to do with anything? The streak was never about the '91 team or any one team or player.

Were they dealt at the trade deadline? Okay. It should probably be discussed in the trade deadline thread.....

I don't feel like sorting through all that BS. Maybe if the thread was reserved for breaking news and deals only, but it is full of rampant speculation and flame wars.
