#2022658 This team's still missing one thing..

Posted by 13dangledangle on 05 August 2010 - 08:04 AM

Does everyone remember how Rafi played in the Olympics this year? He still has incredible game left in him but I think he needs to be on his own line not with Lids, as well as quarterbacking his own powerplay (unit two with Modano on the other point)

#2022252 Mike Modano signs with Detroit

Posted by 13dangledangle on 03 August 2010 - 11:42 PM

Babcock- "I like our team here. I even said that to my wife."

..............lol that line made me laugh! I am as well thrilled with this signing. Ive been missing a third scoring line for a while now! Good Job Kenny

#2021023 Wings better trade Lidstrom quick!

Posted by 13dangledangle on 31 July 2010 - 10:25 AM

Lidstrom is one of the best Defenseman of all time...ALL TIME! He (and most the Wings) had a below average year, by there standards anyway. I also would not be at all surprised to see Nick get the Norris back this season.

#2016133 What's going on with Helm?

Posted by 13dangledangle on 16 July 2010 - 11:13 PM

Early on, even before July 1st, I remember Holland being quoted that Abby and Helm wouldn't be signed til sometime in August, due to longer term deals.

Patience, and hopefully both sides get what they want.

I remember that as well, and they will be back for sure and at pretty good prices so we might as well keep talking about MadonnaPosted Image

#2012906 Red Wings Making Play for Modano

Posted by 13dangledangle on 09 July 2010 - 12:09 AM

I must disagree, I think Modano would make this team a force. We already look pretty darn good imo, then adding a Modano? Sure as hell isnt making us worse!

#2006962 Lilja May Test Market

Posted by 13dangledangle on 29 June 2010 - 11:26 PM

I love Lilja but at his age to be a 3rd pairing I get him wanting to move on elsewhere and bloom. I actually dig Exelby a lot and think he would "bloom" in the Wings system.

#2000521 Is Filppula going to be our 3rd line center...or 1st line winger?

Posted by 13dangledangle on 17 June 2010 - 12:06 AM

If Babcock's quotes about next year are to ring true, Flip will not be on the third line. Bertuzzi will more than likely be a 3rd line winger playing on the second PP.

Im sure your right, but honestly people why would we brake up the Flip, Bert, Mule experiment when it looked sooo good. Not to mention it puts Z & D back together :yowza:(which we really, really need again)

#1999651 I don't get all of the Colby Armstrong Love

Posted by 13dangledangle on 14 June 2010 - 09:37 PM

I don't mind Colby. But I wonder if there is someone out there better than him at the right price.

(jk saw what you said about him already...i kid i kid)

#1999644 I don't get all of the Colby Armstrong Love

I liked Colby with the Pens but we have one in Abby in my opinion.

Larry Murphy was a Penguin.
Luc Robitaille was a Penguin.

Should we hate those guys too?

...those two are like whores, they've been with everyone...

#1999641 Afinogenov rejects Thrashers' offer

Posted by 13dangledangle on 14 June 2010 - 09:20 PM

That line up looks pretty soft, take Draper out and put in Nystrom and you've got me sold.

I like that idea! Just for s***s and gigs Imagine....now nay sayers this is just pretend so relax lol because I know it cant/wont happen.

Hudler-Abdelkader-Cleary/Holmstrom(and Powerplay)

#1999632 Afinogenov rejects Thrashers' offer

Posted by 13dangledangle on 14 June 2010 - 08:45 PM

I have been saying for the last 2 years now to sign this guy. First of all I know he has been known to be bad defensively and lazy at times, on the Sabers. He was great with Atlanta and must have been a little humbled making 800k there as well. My main reason I think he would do well in Detroit is his countryman Datsyuk. Dats is a very well respected hockey player that other players (Bertuzzi, Hossa) say is the most talented player in hockey...and for Maxim to get a chance to play with him? I dont know I just think they would kick some ass.

Example: Afinogenov-Datsyuk-Holmstrom

..........and if Bert could magically get signed too, put Z&D with Maxim :yowza:

#1998837 How much better would we be looking with Leino and Kopecky

Posted by 13dangledangle on 12 June 2010 - 10:26 PM

...this would've work cap-wise

looks like a championship squad to me.

There you go.

#1998705 Skating through the center of the ice?

Posted by 13dangledangle on 12 June 2010 - 04:56 PM

I just miss the plays between Hank and Pavs that broke the logic behind hockey ate it up, and spit it out again after they scored.

#1995348 my team

Posted by 13dangledangle on 06 June 2010 - 04:23 PM

lets get rid of ritola before giving him a chance during the regular season

bert and franzen would be awesome centers too

Bert would take every draw with one hand. Every last one.

#1994864 Holmstrom signs 2 year extension

Posted by 13dangledangle on 05 June 2010 - 02:19 PM

Honestly, I could see a team like Vancouver throw a 3 mil contract at him to play for a year.

Bingo! Spot on my friend, Holmer could get alot on the open market. Its great he's staying, especially from an attitude/loyalty point of view in that they obviously are a team. I just read a new topic (I just got home a did a quick scan and came here first lol) that said Bertuzzi either stays with Wings or retire...Now that is incredible because there are probably a few teams that would like him after this past season. Though he wants to play with core group and thats freakin sweet. I love they have this connection and I hope he signs here! Im starting to believe in these guys! (again)
