If Lucic was only making Drake money, and getting Drake playing time, I don't think anyone would care. Instead, he'd be making 6 million bucks to be slow, and a complete drain on your team's possession, for about 18 minutes a night. So no, he's not really the same at all.
I'm just saying if not liking a player for his on-ice antics is the sole reason for not wanting him, we've had players who have done plenty of dirty s*** in the past on the team.
In a galaxy far far away a man named Kenny Holland found his balls on the shelf.....Once blowing the dust off - he found the courage to swing a trade for 1 Brendan Shanahan.....May the force be with you.

Hey, if you think Mickey and Jack Edwards are similar that's fine. I disagree.
I never said they were similar, but Mickey loved a good scrap, enthusiastically; and if you listen to him, he subtly mourns the lack of team toughness without coming right out and saying the team is soft.
If so, Redmond's adapted to today's game while Edwards still thinks Cam Neely's about to take the next shift.
Also, apparently you've never noticed that Ken Daniels doesn't call other team's players "hacks".
Mickey has sorta been forced to. He calls Red Wings games; not a lot of hitting (at least on our part) or fighting. But when one does happen (rarely), what does he always say? "Attaboy! Not one person in their seat! They love it!", to paraphrase. He loves old time hockey as much as the rest of us neanderthals.

I'm confused about one thing when it comes to frankgrimes and GMRwings1983 and whoever else there is that dies for fighting and goons that don't have a clue how to actually play hockey... You're all very aware of the fact that Holland wants nothing to do with guys like McGrattan, a "player" like that will never be employed by the Detroit Red Wings, so why are you still fans of such "weak", "pussified" team?... I'm not telling you you shouldn't be a Red Wings fan, but I'm just curious as to why you are?...
Probably because we grew up Red Wings fans and they've only become "pussified" in recent years. I'm not going to stop rooting for a team because they're a bunch of *******, but I certainly have the right to mourn the loss of team toughness. And I don't necessarily want a talentless goon; I'd settle for Chris Neil, Matt Martin... even Lucic, or Proust. Anyone who actually still knows how to throw a check or stand up for a teammate will suffice.
