If there was a conspiracy, the Yotes would have gotten it, since the league owns them....?

Baseball, not a major sport?

Maybe just hockey and spelling bees qualify.

The schedule does not allow for an extra game. No major sports league on the planet does this.

But we're going to have six winter classics, so why not.

#2389262 Do We Really Need a New Stadium?

Posted by evilmrt on 24 April 2013 - 09:56 PM

Heres a thought. Wouldn't it be great to take the old train station move it and make a new arena out of it something like they did with thehudson building. It would be expensive to move and take longer than just building a new one. But it would be a great thing to a wonderful piece of MI history. Other than becoming what it already has become.

Well, they could use the exterior to create a facade like they did with the arena in London, Ontario. Previously, a 150 year old building was there.

Never assume something, before it actually happens this has just too much jinx potential to be honest.

Columbus still holds all the cards, Minnesotta is going to make it too so it will be hard fight till the end I guess.

Hmm. I'm a bit tired so maybe that is why I'm confused.

Detroit has a game in hand over Columbus, as well as the ROW tie breaker, while only being down by 1 point.

That is hardly all the cards...???

I logged in just to see what you guys were saying about Cleary

All in all, today turned out fairly well for the Wings. But yeah, no more of this 1 point SO loss garbage. Wins are required.

If Hockeytown or FlashyG show up, I'll be more than happy to edit this post to include their efforts.  I am hopeless at Photoshop.

My sincerest condolences to those who do not have access to FSD.

make all the excuses you want, but the new 5.3 million dollar man just tossed detroit's playoffs hopes out the window last night.
it's over.
thanks a lot, jimmy.

Um yeah. We have the same statistical chances of making the playoffs as Columbus, which is 40%. It's not over.

I totally disagree here. Columbus is playing the best hockey in our division right now. They have won the last 5 in a row, 3 of which they came from behind. Bobbrovski has been unreal.....second in the league in save percentage at .931. They were in 13th spot before the trade deadline and they have played hard, physical hockey and deserve to be where they are. We have a game in hand but the last 5 games they have NOT been playing the oilers....they have consecutive wins against SJ, St. Louis! Minny, Col and Anaheim last night. Everyone on that team is contributing and they frighten me. Detroit needs to take a page out of that book....never say die, never give up and keep it SIMPLE! Let's hope we can do that

I agree with you, watching the last couple CBJ games really impressed me as far as the passion they're playing with. They're hungry, and they want a playoff spot way more than the Wings seem to.

#2386417 Tatar frustrated; says he will only play in NHL when contract done

Posted by evilmrt on 18 April 2013 - 11:54 AM

Holland has really bungled the management of some of these guys. As everyone is saying, we're giving Cleary a spot over Tatar?

At least clear out some of the s*** to make space for guys like this.

And the logjam at D? We have 3 guys rotating into the 7th spot lol. Ridiculous.

I'm surprised that Pittsburgh isn't getting two games.

And no Coyotes vs. Vegas Gamblers in Death Valley? BOOOOOO
