#2386417 Tatar frustrated; says he will only play in NHL when contract done

Posted by evilmrt on 18 April 2013 - 11:54 AM

Holland has really bungled the management of some of these guys. As everyone is saying, we're giving Cleary a spot over Tatar?

At least clear out some of the s*** to make space for guys like this.

And the logjam at D? We have 3 guys rotating into the 7th spot lol. Ridiculous.

I'm surprised that Pittsburgh isn't getting two games.

And no Coyotes vs. Vegas Gamblers in Death Valley? BOOOOOO

#2384607 Concerned - we might not make it in to the playoffs

We have "Hockeytown" written on our center ice logo, and we're being outplayed by Columbus and Dallas for the last playoff spot.     Two undeserving hockey cities.

Ilitch needs to put his foot down if this team misses the playoffs.  He's not afraid to spend, but he seems afraid to put any pressure on Holland.

I agree with inflatable boobs guy

#2384580 nhl.com calls Kenny the best GM

Huh, woke up this morning to see that the Wings lost their playoff spot and are now in 9th.
Kenny is the bestest.

And if not, fans can symbolically "throw in the towel(s)."

I actually laughed at this. Shame on you! hahaha

#2382282 Concerned - we might not make it in to the playoffs

I really want us to make the playoffs because I believe anything can happen once your in.  But at the same time, I have not been disappointed with this season.  If we miss, we know we have given it our best effort, and we are setting ourselves up for the future.

I think the positives this season outweigh the negatives.  The development of our young guys has been great.  Also, our Defense is turing into a solid, VERY young group.  That is huge for future success.

And if we miss the playoffs, we get a decently high pick to add to the system.  That would be huge to go with our prospects now.

I see what you're saying, and I agree on one hand.....but on the other hand, you have to factor in the demoralization of missing the playoffs for the first time since before Dekeyser, Lashoff, and Nyquist were even born. That is a big factor worth considering.

Wings drop to 8th and have a 3 point cushion. However, all the teams competing for 8th also have tough schedules as well.

So they just couldn't help themselves and had to bring up that the Penguins weren't playing at all today.  Hey, guess what you idiots, we don't give a f*** about the Penguins.

??? What?? I thought this was the Penguins vs. Penguin game.

#2380276 Crosby out for remainder of season AND playoffs?

Posted by evilmrt on 04 April 2013 - 03:13 PM

why should we care?

are pens our opponent in scf again?

no, (they wont make it that far with or without - just for the record).

then, phuck him.

This is a general hockey discussion. Don't be ignorant.

#2380134 Holland retirement watch?

Posted by evilmrt on 04 April 2013 - 10:06 AM

Develano has pissed away his chance to ever GM the Detroit Red Wings, with his stupid and insanely offending comments. This organization from top to bottom is and always was about being classy and you can't tell me Mr. I was happy with this comment. You try your best to threat players well and then someone of your own organization is throwing the players under the bus like nothing? Doesn't fly with me.

Ummm....I think you're confusing Nill with Devellano?  :eh:

#2380042 Holland retirement watch?

Jimmy D embarrassed the Wings organization last fall with his farm animals comments, and got fined for it as well. It wouldn't be a big stretch of the imagination to see him retiring, Holland moving up, and Nill as GM. I guess that leaves Lids to come scoop up his Assistant GM position.

#2379109 An interesting point about our apparent deadline strategy

Posted by evilmrt on 03 April 2013 - 02:46 AM

Well this should indicate I don't need to watch any sports tickers tomorrow....

"Ken Holland says Red Wings Fans Shouldn't Expect Trades"

Not surprised and don't care. The Wings have everything a team needs right now. Granted that's when they are 100% healthy.

This is stupid. At the very least, the Wings could be picking up some draft picks.

#2378696 Holland: "We don't need depth...Need a top guy"

Posted by evilmrt on 02 April 2013 - 01:31 PM

Perhaps I am the only one on here that thinks Pomminville would be great in a Wings jersey. He's not big ( 6 foot, 185) so a bit bigger than Z BUT plays a physical game, its a lowish cap hit and the dude is a "score first" winger. I think he would be great with either Dats or Z!

This could be a good option as it will require less assets than Loui, and I think Pomminville could thrive here. He seriously needs a change of scenery.
