A better move would be to get rid of the instigator rule, to weed out ******* like Matt Cooke from the NHL.

Take away the instigator rule. Make players accountable, Cooke does this in the 70's to a talented player and he doesnt play again. Players have no respect for one another anymore, and it isnt just the instigator rule, but that's a part. Oh and the NHL is crap, Boogaard and Lapierre do similar things and face suspension but f***face Matt Cooke takes Savard out for the season and it's all fine and good?

It would be a very good lesson for a lot of posters on this forum to log onto capgeek.com and just scroll through teams salary charts just to get an idea about how much people are getting paid and how they are producing. Id like to know what players you guys would rather have than Filppula and Cleary at their cap hit, excluding young players on their rookie contract.

That is if you don't count gold medals in '96 '00 and '08. Hockey means more to Canadians than basketball does to Americans. It is like if you were to combine football, baseball and basketball into one fan base.

I'm a -4, which is considered neutral I guess. Typically I stay out of the bigger arguments, I guess I just rub people the wrong way. Not as much as Jack though...wow. The ads will be back, otherwise the only money the site makes is through donations.

My approval rating is dropping faster than Obama's right now. I must have posted something negative in the past to have garnered this.

It's something I wouldn't put to much worry into either. I got sort of curious regarding the amount of negative posts in one day considering my rating dropped 23 points without me even posting. I quickly thought about what I've recently posted in and the Trade Deadline Thread I've "run" the past 3 years came to mind. I decided to give it a quick look and sure enough, practically every post of mine is marked as "-1" while no one else's is touched. So one of two things happened. (A) Someone decided they all of a sudden *yesterday* hated the trade deadline updates from last week or (B) someone (no names mentioned) doesn't get along with me very well and was pathetic enough to mark concrete, informational-only posts regarding player movement as a "-1" post. It's pretty obvious it was the latter. Bottom line, I'm not worrying about it but I do agree with you. The fact of the matter is hopefully the excitement of this new feature will wear off sooner rather than later and people will use it correctly from here on out so it can be effective.

I don't think its gonna work. I haven't posted since yesterday afternoon, and I somehow went from a +1 to a -22. Mindfly must be seeking out old posts just to put a negative on them. He and I don't always see eye-to-eye. QFT. When you think about it, there's plenty of people here that will downgrade a post simply because they're debating with you and don't agree with what you're saying. If people use this feature properly, it could be really nice.

I don't think Kimmy played that good / confident since the OG. Why not give Chris Osgood a game ? And why do some people keep talking about " a risk " when it comes to Ozzie. The man is able of winning some games, have we forgotten that ? And please stop talking about his form or achievements, because his last full game was somewhere in december. Whatever the outcome of this season is, Babcock has handled this poorly.
