We're not going anywhere in the playoffs with this dips*** as our goalie. Their backup is standing on his head, while Howard looks like Roman Turek's retarded twin.

This "eutrotrash" brand of hockey has gone on too long. The laziness of this team is infuriating. The Pens have had injuries all year, but they play a tight checking, defensive and gritty style of hockey, and have good goalies to boot. The Wings are just a fancy pants team which is afraid to work hard and is awful defensively and in net. I wouldn't be surprised if Pittsburgh goes farther in the playoffs than us, despite not having Crosby and Malkin. They just play harder and play a style more suited for playoff success.

No offense, but this thread pisses me off. Let's finish with the season and the playoffs and then discuss. His real worth will be determined in the playoffs where his playoff experience and leadership might make the real difference. Right now the Wings overall poor effort against the pens is enough for us to talk about! lol

We need to bring Ozzie back real quick, get him about 5 starts, and start him in the playoffs. I'm not thrilled with that scenario, but it's better than Howard. I can't understand why Holland would sign him to that extension. Yeah it was a cheap contract, but that means we're stuck with him as our goalie for the future. We didn't play a great period, but he's totally taken the emotion out of the building with his soft goals, and we're already down 2. If he was in the Pens net, then we'd be the ones up by a few goals.

At this point, other than bringing Willa Ford to team parties, what else does he bring that is so invaluable to the team? And don't say experience, because we have enough of that. We need to get younger.

What are we paying him for? To let in 4 goals on 16 shots and all of them were garbage? The offense has been there all year and on nights when three prominent forwards are hurt, I don't think it's too much to ask your goalie to at least keep the team in the game. Brent Johnson seems to be doing it just fine.

If someone walked by Jimmy Howard and said "Hey Jimmy, you're mediocre", he would without question have to say thank you.
