Even if Pavel somehow likes having Abdelkader on his line (which I doubt), the biggest problem is this extended trial together hasn't worked. At all. Datsyuk needs skill around him. Not floating Franzen and a two-point grinder with no offensive ability. -

Me too. Are we related? I don't care what we could get for him. He's given us enough years, thrills, goals, and fun sound bites that the man deserves to go out as he pleases. Even if he's cool with a trade, I don't want another team to have his talent against us. Not to mention that I don't want another team getting him and then we lose to them in the first round, which would be our luck. -

If he Babcock isn't the right guy going forward, you need to come up with a serious, realistic option of a better coach who is available. We're 5th in the west with no 3rd or 4th lines, a bunch of 6/7 guys on defence and a bucketload of injuries. What more do you want?
