Seraph got a reaction from T.Low in I'm Boycotting the Winter Classic...
It's kinda lame of them to repeat a team but if you're really a hockey fan, there's no way you can't be excited by the match-up. If I had nothing else going on, watching the Pens-Caps rivalry seems like a great way to pass the time. They have really talented players on both sides that should make for a great game. Boycotting it is lame, especially if you think it's gonna affect the ratings. You need to sign up and have some hardware installed on your TV if you want to be part of the viewer polls.

Seraph got a reaction from Lidstrom for life in Parents sue because kids suck at hockey
They should just go for the gut and sue the NHL for not drafting the boys last weekend.

Seraph got a reaction from bdavis in Steve Yzerman
Here's some news. Steve Yzerman no longer plays hockey. You want him to sit in an office down the hall from Holland for the rest of his working career just so he can have some undying loyalty to this organization?
Sure, the man is an icon, but you have to remember, he is also a man. If he wants to take his family to Florida and pursue other interests, that's up to him. He was a career player for the Wings and helped turn this organization into a contender. He'll always be rememebered as such.

Seraph got a reaction from LeftWinger in Steve Yzerman named TB's new GM
And whoever said it above was right. If he's successful in Tampa, there will be no coming back to Detroit. He'll devote himself to them like he did to us and bring them home a cup. That's just what Steve Yzerman does.

Seraph got a reaction from DirtyD in Ovi's postgame
I wouldn't blame Ovie for coming off arrogant, upset, or whatever. He just finished a very successful season, lost a seven game series in the first round against a heavy underdog AND there are about thirty freaking microphones in his face asking him if this is the s***tiest point of his career. I wouldn't be enthralled either.
Truth be told, I don't think the Caps are built for the playoffs. They touted Ovechkin's captaincy as a representation of the attitude and excitement they want their club to bring to the game. I really don't think that whole spirit matches up well in high pressure, playoff situations. The Capitals right now are a highly offensive team with gunners on every line. They play to have fun, toss the puck around, and use raw talent to put the puck in the back of the net. That's not something you can harness, control, and kick up a notch when you're down a goal in a game-seven situation. It's not a system that you can "buy into," "prepare for" and "trust in" like Babcock always talks about. When it comes down to it, their "system" (or lack thereof), turns into a streak of sloppy runs at the net and a series of blocked shots. Montreal's game plan was obvious tonight: stifle whoever gets the puck because they probably aren't going to use their teammates--and it worked. I really think they are going to see some sort of coaching change, or at least they should, before they become successful.

Seraph got a reaction from Hockeymom1960 in Ovechkin snows a child
I think what we need to be talking about MORE is why there is weird music and children waving hockey flags in the entry of the Montreal players. That is just creepy. It's like a weird ritual to them. Are they gonna bleed the kids from the neck after and sacrifice them to the hockey gods??
Good on Ovie for breaking down that awkward vibe a little.

Seraph got a reaction from 2guns in Samuelsson looking good at 2.5 million
Good for Sammy. He looks so cocky too these days when he scores as his Canuck buddies hug him and toss him about. I wonder why he couldn't snipe the corner of the net like he did tonight last year. Funny how these things work.

Seraph got a reaction from Hockeytown Red Wings in Green Man suits next to the LA sin bin
If you're really complaining about a hilarious dude doing a handstand in a green suit next to the visiting penalty box, you may need to loosen up a little.

Don't forget to factor this into the equation too. Yikes. Everything is working against them.

Seraph got a reaction from zettsyukwall415 in Howard Becomes Yet Another Different Wings Playoff Starter
The only thing Osgood will be starting is possibly warm-ups. Howard has earned his playing time. The first few games are going to be a critical period for him to make or break his confidence. I have no doubt Ozzie will be ready if we need to call on him.

Seraph got a reaction from 55fan in Phoenix Coyotes Forward Lines and Pairings
At least J-Ho will be getting his first playoff appearance against a team similarly lacking playoff experience. That way our boys can set the pace while he gets comfortable.

Seraph got a reaction from zettie85 in Fan Fight in the Stands
It's the duck fan's fault for starting the fight in that position. You don't start a confrontation when you're on lower ground. The canuck guy isn't gonna just stop and say, "hey this is unfair, let's go find some level ground..." He's just gonna smash his head.

Seraph got a reaction from Original-Six in Wings Transactions You Loved Which Unfortunately Failed
Definitely CuJo. He became my favorite goalie a few years before we got him. I think he single-handedly beat the Avs when he played for Edmonton in a first-round series. Of course, we all hated Colorado then. When we acquired him, I was totally stoked. But then he ended up playing in the minors and completely screwing up in the playoffs.

For a good number of years, #91 was at the top slot but gradually worked his way down. Can't deny those years watching him as a kid and loving it.
