p_diddy_datsyuk_13 2 Report post Posted August 10, 2005 Datsyuk... for these reasons: 1. Has said all along #1 priority is to stay in Detroit... Thornton's #1 priority is not a city or a team, but rather his personal material possessions. 2. Datsyuk is a team player and wants to win... Thornton is a selfish superstar with an overinflated ego. 3. Datsyuk knows what it takes to win and has experienced it and would take it before the money... Thornton could care less about Stanley Cups, he's in hockey for the money, in which case he chose the wrong sport.

Yzerman#19 17 Report post Posted August 14, 2005 Thornton all the way! He is a definitve power forwrd! But he is also a Boston Bruin. And ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Sad, but true! Even if the Wings sign Dats(God Bless Him), and he develops into his full potential... He will never be the player that Joe Thornton is. Also Sad, but true. Wing Across The Pond 196 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 During this series on TSN, they were talking about Ovie being the second best in the league still (behind Crosby), and how many of them thought it was still the case. Everyone said no, that Dats was now the second best - I think he's better than Crosby so take that for what you will. Then again everyone brings something different.
