1/8 GDT: Detroit Red Wings Vs. Dallas Stars

Tell me how 2-8 and being 25% is good on the power play. Anything below at least 40% is not good. Especially with several snipers on this team, I just dont know how you go 2-8 on the powerplay, unless you turn the puck over like they did several times tonight.

Possibly the most laughable thing I've read in a while.

from what I can tell... Scored 3 goals in the first 22 mins of the game and then decided it was Sleepy time and watched passively as the stars scored 6 unanswered. Gotta love the Quick starts we are getting now!

Do not look at any scoresheets/recaps of this game. It makes the pain go away easier.

Im not saying for the season, Im talking for the game, where did anywhere in my posts did I say go 40% for the season. Im not saying every game you are going to have a great powerplay. But 2-8 is laughable, to say the least. Are you gonna say against Minnesota going 1-8 on the powerplay is good too right. If you are getting 8 powerplays a game, dammit you better score at least 3. Being hesitant on the powerplay killed tonight, when Dallas went 3-5 on the powerplay was the differance. If they could show a little more fire on the powerplay like the did in Chicago when they were down by 2 and the pulled osgood, then the powerplay would be higher than 25%.

Well obviously Osgood didn't play well but again.. we scored 3 on Turco then got a whole 12 shots on Hedberg in 38 minutes. One hell of a hard time Hedberg had going through the motions.

hurricanes are next. this month is scary. carolina, nashville twice, the avs, flyers, who else? we'll be lucky make it out of january alive. hopfully this asswhooping we took tonight will get it out of our system cuz this month could sink us if we don't play well and nashville does.
