BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 I was thinking that as well, but I think after he blew the game against OSU I think that automatically removes him from the list. When's the last time Lloyd beat OSU? He's still got his job
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 When's the last time Lloyd beat OSU? He's still got his job 2003 with John Navvarre. Lloyd is 6-6 against OSU. Add that with 5 Big Ten titles, and a NC in 12 years isn't to shaby.
BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 I was thinking that as well, but I think after he blew the game against OSU I think that automatically removes him from the list. eh I don't know....if that guy hits the FT, they win it either way. I think that game probably enhanced his resume. 2003 with John Navvarre. Lloyd is 6-6 against OSU. Add that with 5 Big Ten titles, and a NC in 12 years isn't to shaby. It's been great to be a Buckeye the last 6 years or so Tressel has 3 Big Ten Titles, 1 NC (and a shot at another) and is 5-1 against That School Up North
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 Tressel has 3 Big Ten Titles, 1 NC (and a shot at another) and is 5-1 against That School Up North No arguments there, but the tide always turns around between OSU/UM. After next season we may have a new coach like Les Miles, or Ron English and things will flip flop.....hopefully
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 Did i miss something??? When did this turn into a college football thread?? Michigan has always been a step behind in basketball compared to Michigan State. Likewise, the role is reversed in football.

Our fault If U-M/OSU fans ever talk to each other you know they are talking about football Back to basketball....who's going to coach U-M!? By the way so far my Oregon final four pick still looks good....wish I could say that about the rest of my bracket
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 By the way so far my Oregon final four pick still looks good....wish I could say that about the rest of my bracket My bracket looks pretty good. I got all my elite eight teams in if the favorites win and Tennessee defeats Ohio State.

auxlepli 17 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 Ugh went 9 for 16 in the second round. Freaking Wisconsin! Dangit! Disappointed they lost as well as Purdue, but at least I didn't pick them. Also disappointed with Virginia.
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 I felt bad for Purdue, but they really look like a team on the rise. I was shocked by Wisconson too

I really thought that when it was all said and done, Wisconsin would be the lone Big Ten team advancing to the sweet 16.
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 20, 2007 Word on the street is Sean Miller (Xavier), Chris Lowery (Sout. Ill.), and John Beilien (West VA) are the 3 leaders for the U-M job. Would love Lowery even though he has only been coaching 3 years.

BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Word on the street is Sean Miller (Xavier), Chris Lowery (Sout. Ill.), and John Beilien (West VA) are the 3 leaders for the U-M job. Would love Lowery even though he has only been coaching 3 years. I was reading on another board that Lowery was on Cold Pizza a couple days ago. When the female host, forget her name but I know she went to UM suggested that he take the UM job, he looked at her like she suggested they go out back and smoke meth. Don't know how accurate that is, but just reporting what I read.

When the female host, forget her name but I know she went to UM suggested that he take the UM job, he looked at her like she suggested they go out back and smoke meth. Don't know how accurate that is, but just reporting what I read. Thats understandable. If you are still coaching in the tourny you should show no intrest anyway, but you never know maybe he was serious even though U-M could pay him 3X more then what he's making now. Just remember Saban's quote earlier this year about Bama "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach. ... I don't control what people say. I don't control what people put on dot-com or anything else. So I'm just telling you there's no significance, in my opinion, about this, about me, about any interest that I have in anything other than being the coach here." mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Michigan would kill to have LB. Even if he burns them after a year. I would never want LB at U-M unless we hooked a chain on him so he couldn't dash to a new college or pro team.

mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted March 22, 2007 Why would Tubby want to go to a football school? Better question...Why would Tubby want to go to Minnesota? At least at U-M you can say the program has some big upside, but I don't think you can say that about Minnesota.
