WingNutt 12 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything more about Dani?? after the Roenick hit from last nights game, where he hit him just after he was clearing the puck in the corner.
HenrikRules40 14 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 Apparently he may play tonight. At least that's what the Detroit News is saying. Babcock: Listen up guys! Wings: *Momentarily stops slapping each others butts with wet towels* Babcock: I want all of the defensemen to line up right here. Defensemen: *Awkwardly line up, glancing at each other with this look: * Babcock: All defensemen in the line up tonight please take one step forward...not so fast Lils. NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 The Wings lost Danny Markov at 13:51 of the third when he was slammed into the boards by forward Jeremy Roenick. The Wings said Markov had an injury to his upper body and would be evaluated today. It appeared his left shoulder took the brunt of the collision. Defenseman Danny Markov was injured late in the third period when he was hit into the boards by Jeremy Roenick. Trainer Piet Van Zant said it was an upper-body injury, and he wouldn't rule out Markov playing tonight at St. Louis.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) Markov is tough as nails. I occasionally expect him to show up at the Joe in a Red Army uniform. EDIT: If necessary, simply transplant some of Lilja's shoulder. Edited February 8, 2007 by Crymson

BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 EDIT: If necessary, simply transplant some of Lilja's shoulder. Hahahaha. Just keep Lilja around to harvest body parts. That's awesome. "Bad news is, you have a torn ACL. The good news is, we've got someone prepping Lilja for OR and we're goin' in and taking his."

Covenant 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 Tough as nails is right! But broken ribs would be kind of tough to play through, even for him. Lilja didn't embarass himself TOO badly last little stint.. But obviously (no offense intended), but if you make Chelios look like a Norris candidate, you ain't all that good. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 I'll put money that Babcock will address Lilja as "Lils" at least once while talking to the media. I swear, that is another thing that makes me hate Lilja. That is such a horrible nickname! Babcock almost sounds *** when he says it.
LeftWinger 5,132 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 ...that hit is the reason JR is still a value to this league. I wish we had one guy on this team that can hit like that! Nothing dirty, just hard! Maybe a 4th rounder for JR for the remainder of the season? No?
Earthhuman 8 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 EDIT: If necessary, simply transplant some of Lilja's shoulder. Oh great, then he'd be breaking sticks on one end of the ice and shoulder tipping pucks past Hasek on the other...
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) Oh great, then he'd be breaking sticks on one end of the ice and shoulder tipping pucks past Hasek on the other... Ouch. I think Andreas is the one who's going to be on IR after that one. Edited February 9, 2007 by Heroes of Hockeytown
vladyfan 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 I have loved Markov since he was a rookie and said that he modeled his play after Vlady. He is as close as we have gotten anyway....
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Surprise, surprise, Markov injured again. Freak injury or not, he’s incredibly injury prone and I’m preparing myself for Lilja playing in the playoffs.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) I don't know if this has ever been brought up before, but there is a Lilja that plays for the Indianapolis Colts. Does he often take penalties, throw the ball away, and move really slow? Edited February 9, 2007 by Kp-Wings
