Anyone wanna put money on 2 shutouts in, what? 4 games? So they're gonna see how many they can go without scoring a goal? ah, well... maybe they will surprise us in the third. Ozzie was out of position on the lone goal... but it happens, eh? He's doing well for having been out so long. This is a good game for him to work back in. I just wish the Wings would go the other way, and put some decent chances on Smith... cannot win with no goals. Other than the last minute of the 2nd all I've seen is uninspired hockey by the Wings. edicius 3,269 Report post Posted February 15, 2007 hmmm... when I wrote a prediction to this game, saying that it will be close and that Wings will lose it by a crappy goal let by Osbad his worshipers jumped all over me saying he's been winning tight battles before and we nevertheless will smoke the Stars... Yeah, but when you use such colorful terms as "Osbad", you lose all credibility. Same goes for those who use "Hasuck". It's old and tired. I knew this Wings team wouldn't have a cakewalk with the Stars, no matter who was in net. Ozzie was out of position, Schneider let his man walk right in. s*** happens. Dom's let in his fair share of weak goals this season. So has every other goaltender in the league. Even Brodeur. The fact of the matter is, if the offense can't get anything going, that goal won't matter. You simply can't win a game when your offense scores a grand total of zero goals. This is a big game that would allow us to stay close with the Preds. The Wings want to stay away from the presidents trophy. On a more serious note, this team needs some changes. Not for the sake of making changes. Not because Im panicking. But because the hockey that the Stars are playing right now is PLAYOFF HOCKEY and the Wings are faling this pre-test big time. No name goalie making all the right moves, little energy, questionable desire, etc, etc. Im sitting here watching the game thinking "where have I seen this all before" I have no doubt that the game the Stars are playing right now is exactly the type of play well see in the playoffs.
