aflac9262 211 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 "People have long memories at this level and it's not something we'll quickly forget. He's got a history of that. When you blindside guys like that viciously, that says something and we'll remember it." Well that's odd... we don't have any more regular season games against the Oilers this season. Looks like they are gonna have to wait a while to get revenge, because they ain't making the playoffs any time soon.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 MacTavish is a whiny *****. No surprise there. But at least his team will be where it belongs in a few weeks -- hitting the links. If Lupul doesn't "want to be a complainer" than he shouldn't complain. Simple as that. Boo frickin' hoo. There was no way that was a late hit and he was not blindsided. Kronwall "has a history" of doing things like that? In what? His equivalent of one whole season in the league? Give me a break. The Oilers have to be just about the whiniest club in the NHL. That single statement in that article made it lose all credibility. Kronwall hasn't even had a fair shake to have "a history" of doing such things. They seem to have no problem with players like Torres or - last year - Pronger having a history of such actions when they actually DO have a history. MacT is just pissed that last year will prove to be a fluke for him and the Oilers.
FinWing 26 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 MacTavish should've worn a helmet in his playing days, his head may have been knocked around one too many times.
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 Craig MacTavish is threatening to take revenge on Kronwall down the line: "People have long memories at this level and it's not something we'll quickly forget," said Oilers head coach Craig MacTavish. "He's got a history of that. When you blindside guys like that viciously, that says something and we'll remember it."
wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 As far as im concerned mac can shut the f*** up about the hit
theman19 47 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 whine whine whine, that's all this guy every does. He's the white, old, canadian equivlent of Terrel Owens. If you play goon squad hockey and push people around stuff like this happens. You say you've got a long memory, good deal craig, so does half the league from your over glorfied hitmen you send out there every game.
superstarsingh 23 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 MacTavish learned a lot of Gretzky eh? Just shutup and move on.

tazzer82 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 MacTavish is such a whiny *****. He's got nerve to complain about the hit by Kronner, and yet when his hitman Torres does it, then it's all fine and well, and completely clean of course. Him and the rest of the Oilers need to suck it up and deal with it, and quit whining already. I've hated him ever since last season's playoffs, and this is exactly why. Enjoy freezing your asses off when you don't make the playoffs, and get proven that you were a fluke last season.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 (edited) They can't be serious. Talk about taking it overboard and this coming from one of the dirtiest teams in the league. So Craig is threatening eh? He can take his words and shove it up his ass. Such a whiny *****. And for him to say that Kronwall is KNOWN to do this? Are you freaking kidding me?! Kronwall is physical, he isn't a dirty player like those pieces of s*** Oilers. Ugh. I swear I WANT them to make the playoffs, sneek into the 8th seed, let us get first just so we can face those punks again and tear em apart. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 It's amusing to see how frequent the term "Whiney *****" appears in this thread. Though I can't argue, that is far and away the perfect term to describe MacTavish.
Guest Tunbo Batman Report post Posted February 26, 2007 dont worry, they wont get anywhere near a playoff spot, plus MacT has already proven many times that hes a whiny idiot. just let it go.

elriqo28 2 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 Firstly no need for Smyth with Homer, secondly I agree with the rest of your post. Torres hits hard and high just like Kronner did so MacTavish can wipe the sand out of his personal areas step up and be a big boy. is firstly a word?

Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 I think lupul and mactavb!tch will need a few of these items for the next week.... LMAO!!! I especially love the snickers bar.
sergei_is_still_a_wing 1 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 its a bit late. i'll admit that. BUT, if neil doesn't get a suspension or fine, kronwall shouldn't either. the amount of time that passed when drury and lupul got rid of the biscuit is almost identical. so either nothing needs to be said to either of them or the same thing needs to be said. skacore 2 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 MacTavish is a *****, no doubt... but I do feel a bit for Lupul, the guy is taking it like a man, and what he said is true... the play was over with, Kronwall had no real reason to leave his feet (I know the hit was clean, I loved it, but it's true) other than to hurt Lupul with a bigger impact.. but what is MacTavish gonna do? dress Stortini? what a joke
shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 right here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj4fljgkxeE Thanks for the link!!! I have to say that that hit looks pretty clean, compared to so manny others that the wings have been victims of this year. He did leave his a feet a bit but still a pretty solid open ice hit. I hope that Krony keeps up this type of hitting throughout the rest of the season and then turns it up a little bit in the playoffs. Then all we need is a guy to drop the gloves and stick up for our guys getting crushed in the playoffs.
