No i know its not over at all...just really frustrated at the lack of effort displayed. If we were down 2-0 but played with some emotion I wouldnt be so discouraged. Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 12, 2007 I actually think the game looks like it's in slow motion. I expected fast skating but it doesn't seem that way so far. I think the wings are definitely playing good positional hockey. I'm glad we got that good bounce for the second goal. Calgary looks terrible. Go Wings baby! I thought they looked calm, determined and like a team of veterans, after the first five minutes. Not overconfident, but on their game. I just hope they don't let down at all, just keep doing what they are doing... because I do believe Calgary is not intimidated. Wings: a lot of energy and hustle, plus some good luck Flames: pretty tight in own end, some strong forechecking, but lack the jump and will to win it. for now we've been outworking them with some margin and you see this on scoreboard. When I looked at our roster yesterday, I realized that guys like Flip, Cleary and Franzen can play hard and chippy when they want, so I figured we could match 'em for that kind of game and we've got some depth... But maybe they'll get a little kick on the ass during the break and show up, who knows. Wings were far more aggressive in the first and initiating stuff.
