HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 PANIC BUTTON!! Seriously, some people on here act like this is the first time they have ever watched playoff hockey. Chill. Its only one game. LOL seriously. Since when was a 2-1 series lead a time to panic? *shakes head* It's like the Wings are expected to sweep every series or something. Look at all the years the Wings won it and look what they had to do in nearly everyone of their series. There were times they were up by 2 and the other team came back to tie it and yet the Wings won in 6. There were times they were down 2-0 and swept the next four, there were also times where they split the first two games and then went on to win the next three. This is playoff hockey, peeps. Flip-check 6 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 The way people are acting we're already in the red zone. They broke it a while ago and already performed funeral rites for it. Viperar knows his stuff. I ain't too easy myself about the boys' output though. It's time to step it up and put the doubts to rest. Game 6, tops.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 a 3-2 lose is bad ? Cleary and Drapes were amazing , Berts got a game under his belt , Z's got 3 , they should be goood to do something soon. Hasek was good , if you ask me , we still ahve this series in the bag.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 NOT IN THE THUNDERDOME, YOU WON'T LOUD, LOUD , my ears are still ringing When the Flames would get behind. the fans totally rocked that place, and they got right back into the lead. This is dejavue, of the Wings losing series when being up 2 games I would be alittle worried Questionable penalties...imagine that....kind of like the one the Flames were called for in the Joe The one they missed was the deliberate ELbow to Dions head Sportsnet reporting the cleary hit was a deliberate elbow to the head And your wings are such angels Oh seen big bad bert on Sportsnet......He sure looks like crap, doesn;t look well....and he was pretty well invisable out there tonight Sportsnet.....they are the s***tiest insiders I know. I never listen to them just because they are that bad. If you are gonna try to defend something don't use Sportsnet. Also I did happen to catch that and the other guy disagreed stating it wasn't. As stupid as they are he is right that was a clean shot. Man I still can't believe u used them, everyone makes fun of them, sad.
Burninator 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 Some of you fans are jumping off the bandwagon pretty fast. Just because you thought Detroit was going to sweep (which was unlikely) doesn't mean you need keep your finger hovering around the panic button. Was I worried after the first two games? Yes. I am still worried about this series? You bet. If the win was a landslide victory then I could understand some of these feelings. It was a close game, so I don't think Detroit's confidence has gone down. I think the Flames will bring a better game on Thursday and I suspect Detroit will do the same. The games of this series should get closer and closer. Also for those blaming the refs, I suggest you take off your homer glasses. Pretty lame excuse if you ask me. Besides who wants to watch a penalty filled game anyways? Totally kills the flow of the game.
Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 (edited) If I'm not mistaken, in theory we could lose every game at the sattledome and as long as we keep winning at the Joe, and still win the series right? L(2-2), W(3-2), L(3-3), W(4-3) yep, but that would take us to a winner takes all game seven which I don't think anyone wants really... but just to keep with the 'Stay Positive' theme Edited April 18, 2007 by Elshupacabra
Chase 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 (edited) I think the Flames will bring a better game on Thursday and I suspect Detroit will do the same. The games of this series should get closer and closer. Agreed. I predicted the WIngs would win the series 4-2, that means we would lose ONE MORE GAME!!! Panic button OMG!! /sarcasm Its possible this could go to 7 games. Edited April 18, 2007 by Chase

John Garrets a ******* idiot , He thinks because he was a goalie in the NHL , he knows everything about the game , when He really knows nothing. Although , Nick Kyperos and Mike Brophy know what there talking about. As a whole , West is the worst , Pacific is ok , and East is alright if you dont mind the Leafs/Sens bias

Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 I'm still very positive. I figured Calgary was going to win Game 3. They were at home and desperate for a win. I thought we played well, but a couple breaks didn't go our way. We could have used a few more shots, but we can work on that for Game 4. Calgary's an excellent team, anyone who thought we'd sweep was dreaming.
Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 18, 2007 John Garret wants the shoot out in the playoffs. I think it's safe to say that his insight is pretty worthless. I'm not for the shootout in the playoffs, but I think he makes some good points about it. Early in a series it's almost pointless to wear the players out and have them play 7 periods of hockey. They'll have nothing left if the series goes 6 or 7 games. Plus, there's the next round to think about. He said though a Game 7 shouldn't have a shootout. I'll do him one better and say any possible clinching games shouldn't be a shootout. Like I said, I'm not for it in the playoffs, but it's an interesting debate. But I think before they go to the shootout, they should go to 4 on 4 in OT, like they do in the regular season. This will open up the ice a bit obviously, and create more chances.
