JaketheShark 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 I was feeling bad about the Sharks blowing the lead last game and on a slow Sunday morning decided to read the Letsgowings GDT. LMAO - I feel better now, thanks Wings "fans". Funny but the SJ Sharks GDT was sad. All GDT's are well that end well. EZBAKETHAGANGSTA post Yesterday, 02:25 PM wtf is happening. Never Forget Mac #25 (Finally a REAL FAN shows up) Screw those of you giving up. I'm just as pissed as you, but this is where a team decides whether they'll sink or swim. Not that SJ is the same as Vancouver, but they did lose the first two of that series, and this game is only 6 minutes deep. Plenty of time. Sergei Fedorov91 24 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 I was at the game and man after they scored those two quick goals the crowd got PISSED. It was funny cuz everyone started chanting shoot the puck on our PP and they actually shot it then and Datsyuk almost scored on a empty net. One of the funnier moments was when the puck got dumped in San Jose's end, and the defenseman got to it, and Bertuizzi came charging in at him and the whole crowd goes OHHH and Bert missed the check. Some guys above us were like 'did you hear the crowd? They knew it was coming'.

wingfan4ever 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 Last night I had a very hoarse throat from screaming so hard when Cleary and Datsyuk scored those magnificent goals. I was sure that we were out of the game after the first 5 minutes of it.
JaketheShark 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 Well, gee I'm so glad we could provide such Sunday funnies for you. But remember, it isn't over yet. Yeah, it's far from over, it's just getting started. The next two at the Shark Tank should be great games. With all due respect for the Wings effort in game two, I don't think we've seen either of these teams at their best for 60 minutes + OT yet and I think/hope we will see at least one of those classic playoff games before this series is over. Sharks are one for two playing with a lead, wonder what they will do if they have to come from behind? I have seen the Sharks play much better games when the other team scores first and the Sharks are forced to open up their game and really skate. Hope the Sharks can get their power play going against the Wings. Sharks playoff power play hasn't been as bad as it looks in the stats because two or three goals against Nashville were scored just seconds after the PP expired. Detroits gutty, no quit, comeback performance in game two should inspire the Wings for game 3 but it could also fire up the Sharks to show up for 60+ minutes. Can't wait for game 3, maybe it will be that classic playoff battle that both teams fans deserve. GO SHARKS.

craighead88 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 The next game in detroit better be sold out!!! Or im going to be pissed! Im a diehard wings fan in Nottingham, England and when pavel swept the puck past Nabokov I went crazy. That was a massive comeback for us, thats 38 shots we ve given up in 2 games,.... impressive. I want to see a big push in game 3 now in the tagpole pool. Does anyone know if Homer and Lebbi are back and is Kronvall fit yet?

rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 (edited) 3 plays that I think made a difference: 1.) Lilja's hit on Rissmiller 2.) Franzen's hit on Cheechoo 2.) When Bertuzzi drove Thorton into the post. Edited April 29, 2007 by rick zombo

betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 no word on homer or lebda but Kronwall should be back if we make it the western conference finals i believe I'm not sure I want Kronwall back. Take all that stuff where people were worried about Bertuzzi affecting the chemistry and multiply it 100 times. The defense has been terrific for the most part. I mean, who would you take out of the lineup? Lilja? Hell no, he's been the most physical blueliner we got, and he's playing great. I'm operating under the assumption that Lebda's out for the rest of the year....it looked like an ugly injury. So if he's still out when Kronwall gets back, fine. If he's back, I think I'd just let Kronwall sit and be the first guy out of the press box in case of further injury.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 29, 2007 Yeah, betterredthandead, i agree with jsut about everything youve posted, we should also give quincey his due for being so sturdy on such short notice. Kronwall could replace him but if lebs is back, surely put him in. His speed is much needed against the sharks or anyone we face. Hopefully hes back this series, if not next...hopefully we make it

Kronwall is most definitely my fave D-man, but I kinda do agree that Lilja should not at all be replaced. The man is a BEAST! He's playing some fantastic hockey and deserves to stay. As for Lebda, I just read he's aiming for a game 5 return. Then again..it would be great having Kronner back for the sake of getting Sammy the hell off the point. Plus, Nik is quite physical so that can only help. Guess we'll have to see how it all pans out.

If Kronwall is healthy, Kronwall will play. Assuming the team keeps winning, though, Kronwall won't play until he's really truly 100% unless someone else is hurt. No reason to risk reinjuring the guy by rushing him back when it's not necessary.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 I'd be afraid to play Kronwall though , he was playing like s*** before he went down , I'd hate to see him come back after an injury.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted April 30, 2007 I'd be afraid to play Kronwall because he is probably the worst puck-handler on the team. I swear, every time he has the puck it somehow hops over his stick or get's stuck to the ice. Even if he healthy enough to play, I really don't want him back in the lineup. Babs will take the Pain Train out if Kronwall's ready later. It's Mike's way, sadly. Lilja is rocking though. This guy is earning his paycheck 10X more than Robert Lang will, wherever he goes after this season.

Kronner was starting to play really good before he got injured. He was just starting to get his game back AFTER he took out that caged mask that was bothering the heck outta him. Kronwall at the point >>>> Sammy at the point. PLUS he makes great tape to tape passes, joins the rush, and is just an all around solid D-man. His physical prescence is a great thing as well.. Let's not kid ourselves, peeps.. Nik is a very good d-man. He's just had no luck.
