Biggest game of the season so far. Go Wings Go! Play a FULL game, not no 30 minute game.

Wings played a full game in game 3 unfortunately for them the sharks got a fire lit under their asses and stuck it to the redwings, which made it look like the wings were not playing their game, when in reality they were but the sharks just stuck it to them.

Hopefully the sharks can dominate like that for at least 2 periods tonight and they will be fine.

:P

Not really. they sat back after that First Period. Watching the Wings for a while lets you know when they let off. They did and the Sharks took advantage of it.

The Wings just cannot let that happen tonight. They need to come out and play the whole game the way they played period 1 of the last game.

GO WINGS!!

we wouldn't do that, we like you. But you're mistaken if you think the Wings were even running on one cylinder, never mind all of them, on Monday. Hopefully the "real" Red Wings will show up tonight and give Nabby run for his money.

Wings should be much better tonight, with our Homer back doing what he does best: parking his large red be-hind in front of Nabby's face, and deflecting goals into the net. :hehe:

Anyone else notice that Sharks get behind our goal they're dangerous?

Anyone else notice when we're physically aggressive it throws off the Sharks games, which causes them to make crucial mistakes and messes up they're game plan?

Wings need to dominate them in the physical department. Play the body, not the puck.

Plow them when they're trying to set up behind our net, create some turnovers.

The forums are dead tonight, are wing fans fizzing out and giving up hope?

I think we're all just holding our breath right now. We all know this is do or die tonight, might as well just come out and say it. Yes they won't be eliminated technically, but come on.

This is important does anyone know?

I am starting to freak out

They'll probably override wings in Michigan and San Jose and run the Devils in NJ and Ottawa

Yes, strong forechecking and backchecking are vital, and watch where the puck play tends to concentrate most. Quick passes, steals, dekes, etc., in the center of the ice, away from the boards and away from behind the net, belongs to the Wings. That, and close quarter man-on-man play, where their superior quickness is a deciding factor. If the puck play is mostly there, out in the open, look for the Wings to dominate. Along the boards and behind the net is more where the Sharks' game becomes more of a dominant factor. Don't give the Sharks a running head start on a player against a board with a puck, because those hard hits do take a toll.

Also, discipline may be a key (even though both teams have proven to be pretty disciplined in this series), as it has been in several series. Any team taking more penalties than normal can expect to pay a price - if not in goals allowed, in the overall drop in stamina.

Mainly though, watch where the puck is played most. That's a huge part of the strategy war between these two amazing teams, who have decidedly different styles, strengths and weaknesses.

Now we see what the Wings are really made of: Heart, or Skittles.

I'd like to add that if we do lose this game (god forbid), it isn't necessarily because the Wings lack "heart." As difficult as it's been for some to fathom, the Sharks are a good talented team, and if they beat us it may just be because they're better. *gasp*

Granted, it'll mostly be because the Wings stopped playing, they beat themselves, sunlight was in their eyes, etc...
