ZAMBONI 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Yep, what a great career. Class act too, great guy. Sad to see him go. A truly great skilled defenseman and a better person off the ice.

high_stick69 7 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Here's to a damn good Dman! I was super excited for the Rangers when they won the cup and Leetch was such a huge part of it....He was absolutely incredible the year he won the Conn Smyth. I was hoping to see him in the winged wheel at some point in his career. Thanks for the memories Brian!!!
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 wow, he's still playing? j/k He fell off the radar for me about the mid-'90s--I truly didn't know he was playing anymore. The guy had such a rep for being great on the blue line offensively though. I'm sure it was largely earned after that '93-'94 run, but he put up decent totals for the better part of the decade. And just to recant that Conn Smythe production year... 23 gp -- 11g-23a-34pts +19 Or in other words, ABSOLUTE GUNPOWDER
Vladinator 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 I was really surprised that nobody took a chance on Leetch last season. With the injuries that we had on the blue line, he would have been a nice fit here for the latter part of the season and into the playoffs...

Guest DetroitIan Report post Posted May 25, 2007 What a fantastic American defenseman. Great career. Classy dude. Someone that we will probably see become a GM or possibly even a head coach. He's no Lidstrom, but then again, who is? lol
Izzy24 44 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 I'm guessing if you're a hockey player that you are a forward. Actually I'm a goalie, so offensive defensemen aren't my favorite. My "meh" was because I thought he retired a couple years ago, so I had already come to terms with it.
