I think we sholud try to draft Mark Owuya...I mean just look at this:

:lol::lol::lol:

What a THUG!

Can you imagine that kid fitting into a Red Wings locker room anytime in the near future... if hockey begins to look like this, kill me. Plus how could he ever play in Detroit after he used the "N" word? Although, I guess he is allowed, if the idiot even knows what it means...

What a turd.

"The Wings made a decent cup run with the roster that they had. Their playoff lineup for the beginning of the playoffs consisted of eight North American skaters. That leaves 10 non North American skaters. That is a pretty even mix. Who would you have removed from the non- North American players and who would you have replaced them with that would have made this team better."

What in the blue hell are you talking about? Are you saying to me that North American players have no use in a Cup Winning team? Look at the Ducks. How many NA players? 3/4 of their team? I'm guessing at least 15 players are NA players. You did the Wings' country of origins, how about you do the Ducks as well? I mean stop slanting your biased argument. While you are at it, take a look at the Sens roster. I will guess they have around 15 NA players as well.

Which NA players would I replace on the Wings roster which did not win the Cup? None. Because we have no NA players to replace them with! That is my whole point!

Do your homework next time before you go after me with no bullets in your gun.

don't want Swedish goalie, but a good forward is something to think about. with our European scouts we're pretty likely to land a better Swede with this 27th spot, than a good North American. so sure, I'd go with a Swede, develop him and optionally use to trade for some pesky Canadian or something like that. we're good with Swedish players in particular, so that would be logical choice

Phoenix has a lot of North American players too.

EDIT:So do Calgary and San Jose....might as well throw St. Louis out there too. 3/4's of their roster is North American.

i went looking around for some information on this years draft and i came across this site ......

http://www.mynhldraft.com/2007

its a 2007 mock draft lol and surprise surprise a swedish player is our 1st round pick lol , hes the 2nd rated swedish player in the draft ....i know its not real and we probably wont end up with him but has anyone heard about him ?? i think theres a few wings fans here from sweden so maybe you guys heard of him .........and regarding this years draft what should be our number 1 priority ?? with liv likely gone , should we draft a goalie ?? or should we go for a defensemen ??

Joakim Anderson

Ht/Wt: 6-2/200 lbs

Position:C

Drafted From:Frolunda (Swe.Jr)

in my opinion the nhl draft is almost pointless to watch or track i think it is the biggest crap shoot of all the major sports
