Seriously, what a f*cking dirty piece of trash. Classless loser. Good God please let the Sens win, cause this F*cking bum doesn't deserve to even look at the Cup.

He is on the road to becoming a evil sith lord.... he has the options to change, but so far in is young stint as an NHL preformer he is becoming more and more of a cheapshot type of player. Sure he might not have been in the minors (thats a whole other ball game there). From what he is demonstarting so early in his noobie NHL career... he has the ability to become the same type of goon that Pronger is after his several more years in the NHL. His play is getting dirtier and dirtier... No one really starts out being pure evil... they grow and adjust their play according... There is a difference between playing tough hockey and knocking guys repeatedly from behind in order to make plays. Getsalaugh does the former A LOT.

It's very difficult taking you seriously since you use so much vitriolic hyperbole. Sorry. I'll move on now.

point?

Bert WAS suspended, for a long time, AND owned up to it in the media. How again is this relevant?

Ahh, so that's what lou was talking about. I guess maybe he didn't realize Bert was a Canuck when he did that? Wonder, if that thread still exists, how many Wings fans were utterly disgusted with Bert's hit. My bet -- 99% of them (the 1% being permissive seeing that it was against an Avalanche player).

I have changed my outlook on the series after careful consideration.... I will waive my ducks in 6 ... in favor of Sens to win at all costs. I don't care if I lose my bets now... By me losing only makes the Sens the cup champs.

Sucks for Selanne... but he is now guilty by association.... GO SENS!

You'd be betting foolishly then, that topic divides this board like no other, well except maybe goalie threads.

f*** Pronger.

I sincerely doubt that if Pronger had surgery to remove 3-4 inches from his legs, he'd be any less dirty.

Also, Brian Burke crying another river about this is getting old. Does any GM in the league ***** more than this guy does?

This surgery should be the next punishment for Pronger, in lieu of another 1 game suspension. :P

This is nothing new, if you recall the tirades he made, that the league was "Anti-Vancouver", when he was with the Canucks. Some people get attention solely by making highly controversial statements -- it's that which the media listens to most anyways.

Given Selanne's penchant, over the many seasons of using a grossly large blade (and his bulls*** excuses for it when caught), I put him in the realm of Pronger when it comes to classless.

But also, on your outlook, you weren't pulling from the Sens from the start?

Hell, logically, I was thinking maybe Anaheim would steamroll them, that's why I didn't make any predictions. I just hoped for the Sens.

f*** Pronger.

Well, you were probably there for that thread (I wasn't), so I'll take your word for it. Agreed, though, on the last part.

He should have been suspended for 3-5, serving the balance at the beginning of next season, as McClennan has to do. Repeat offenders should not be able to get away with just a slap on the wrist.

Entirely different, really. For one thing, it's STILL being slogged out in the court system as to whether Bert paralyzed the poor man with his punch and their subsequent fall, or whether the pile-on contributed. "Alleged" is a useful term here.

And may I remind you of Brian Burke's part in all that?

Exactly. How many more times does this bum have to blast players with his elbow before they actually give him an appropriate suspension. I was shocked when Pronger only got 1 game for what he did to Homer. Now he does it again in the same playoff year and he only gets 1 game again??? WTF??? Even if his recent elbow didnt seriously injure, still, he JUST did this bulls*** in the last series, seems like that alone would get Pronger atleast 2 games. Disgracefull.

pronger suspended or not ducks already proved they can still win games without pronger and knowing that they are away this time will only make them better ducks home or away ...... DUCKS IN 5 and again... i expected the ducks to lose the last the game even before it started and i cant see ducks not getting the split and then closing it at home like they did in every other series :blush:

Your team is a bunch of classless goons, from the front office on down. Pronger is a perfect fit.

That being said, I think your team plays much better without the piece of s*** player that he is.

You put Selanne in the realm of Pronger for a larger blade (no intent to injure beside on the scoreboard) and yet you waive Getsalaugh for his action... come on!

I had ducks in 6 and still do on paper... but I am pullling for the sens now.

Or a slap on the ass. Trying to figure out which it is the league is showcasing, here.

If I come down on Getzlaf for playing intense, I have to on hundreds of other players, for doing the very same thing you accuse him of. Taking your point of view, for the sake of a decent argument, this is not a Getzlaf issue, this is a league-wide issue, or a coaching issue. If how one plays has an end result of success, or getting a starting job, or whatever -- remember the struggles he was having even making the team to start last season -- then one can't blame the player. If so, you have to discount all of the dirty hits we've seen Markov, or Schneider, or Chelios, and so on, make. It's a league-wide adaptation. Yet another thing which is unfortunate about where the league is headed.

I had ducks in 6 and still do on paper... but I am pullling for the sens now.

Yay.

Duckfan, you're wrong about Duckette, she's a great addition to this forum. Mature beyond her years, and generally very well informed.

She's made Duckfans look like GENIUSES here, considering. :hehe:

Duckette knows nothing about hockey.. all she does is condone bush league hockey, and make wise cracks at those who oppose the dirty play of the Ducks..

For those saying he shouldve been suspended for the rest of the Stanley Cup Finals, do you not realize that is the equivalent to suspending someone half the year in the regular season? 40 games for that?? Come on now!

This is the STANLEY CUP FINALS, being out for 1 game is a severe punishment

I wonder how you came up with a half year for a span of, at most, 4 games -- at very least, 2 games.

So what did McAmmond do to get punished? So basically, he should be suspended x amount of games for receiving an elbow to the head?

Strike Pansy Ass's name from the cup, if the Ducks win it.

Either that, or find that limo driver that nearly killed vladdy. Make sure he gets the job done this time and send him out to Pansy Ass.

True, but considering he elbowed a player to the back of the head in just the last series, and now is a repeat offender (in a very short span of time), he should've gotten two games.

But alas he's a star canadian player in the NHL, so Campbell proved once again what a eunuch he is.

Its simple. A game in the Finals has MUCH more value than the regular season. I equate it to at least 1 to 10 ratio.
