I was all for the skate logo that was recolored in blue and green and posted somewhere on this board a while back. It was easily the best looking variation of any Canuck logo suggested, other than perhaps the 'Johnny Orca w/Flying Skate and Rink' amalgam that was posted recently. I think the Canucks name is fine.....but what they ought to do is just invent a stylized VC logo like you might see on a baseball cap and stick with it - forever. Because having five completely different looks in a thirty year history is stupid. I like how you can go to a Wings game and the fans pretty much have a uniform look. I could write an award winning book on how much I hate that whale gritting his teeth. Maybe if they just kept the C then they can look like the Chicago Bears. Anything other than the whale would be an improvement. Oh well it seems the Canucks have had a history of ugly uniforms. Maybe what the team needs to do is just do way with the logos since they all sucked and do like the Rangers or Pens of the mid 90s. Just have Vancouver diagonally across the front. I do like the stick logo myself, simple and clean. But let's face some facts; it wouldn't have been Vancouver if the didn't screw up the uniform.
