Saran 1 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 Yeah i was just about to post this ... What horrible news, I hate injuries Franzen was a beast in the pre-season and I guess we have to wait a month for that top line to dominate
WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) I'm really upset about this. I had so much hope for Franzen and he showed so much promise in the playoffs last year as well as the preseason... Get better Franzen So, let the discussion begin who comes up... Cleary - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Hudler - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Downey - Filppula - Draper Drake - Kopecky - Maltby Edited October 7, 2007 by WhiteLightning91
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 Wow. Too bad. Franzen is becoming a pretty decent player. On the bright side, hopefully Downey get's a chance now. Since he'll probably be gone by the end of October, I'd like to see him get a few games in before then.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 When is Grigs coming up? I would love to see him on a line with Dats, even if only temporarily Probably the end of October, since he'll vacate to Russia if he isn't called back up. *holds back angry comments*
HenrikRules40 14 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 This is so depressing. I guess better now than April, right? A grade 2 sprain like that doesn't need surgery but it needs some rehab. He's well conditioned...he can do it.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 Way to go, Pavel. Dats' thought process: Maybe if I can trip this hawk, take a penalty AND injure Franzen, ill achieve a great play seriously, sometimes thought processes on these forums shock me It could be worse, get better Franzen! Guest micah Report post Posted October 7, 2007 All I was saying is that he should have been more careful. His carelessness injurred a teammate. Does everybody do it (trip)? Yes. Is it okay? No.

No. Oh wow I thought you were just joking at first. And I thought it was kind of funny too. But you're serious?!?!? Wowwwwwwwww! This forum cracks me up. How is the question of "is it ok" even relevant? That's not even remotely close to the issue.
Grittzkey 1 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 So, let the discussion begin who comes up... Cleary - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Hudler - Zetterberg - Samuelsson Downey - Filppula - Draper Drake - Kopecky - Maltby with franzen out, id put drake on the top line. leave cleary where he is at to gain some chemistry/rytham with flip and drapes... and put downy on the 4th line.. id hate to give that much playing time to downey considering he is basically nothing..atleast drake has experience being the man, and being on a line with dats and homer the line might actually be an upgrade. it wont happen, but thats what id like to see. 1st post
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 well if we are going that route... at least it wasn't franzen tripping someone into Dats and knocking him out 3-4 weeks.

Guest micah Report post Posted October 7, 2007 at least it wasn't franzen tripping someone into Dats and knocking him out 3-4 weeks. Absolutely. Tripping is like drunk driving. There are reasons that we have rules against it, even though you can do it thousands of times without hurting anyone. Obviously drunk driving has worse potential consequences, so it has a harsher penalty. Being reckless with your car is wrong, being wreckless with your stick is less wrong, but still wrong. Hopefully he learns from it and becomes an even better hockey player.

It might be fun to see Drake with Dats and Homer. That being said, I doubt it will happen. And yeah your signature is awesome Absolutely. Tripping is like drunk driving. Let's say for a moment we subscribe to your inane theory of "tripping is like drunk driving." Does that mean we fine Pavel for "playing under the influence?" You're ridiculous. Ok so for hooking, there is a possibility that you slow the skater down in front of you, and you hit him and get injured. Dangerousss. Wait even better. Fighting. God forbid someone fights and throws a punch and draws blood leading to retaliation against another player on your team. Its their fault too. your logic is flawless
