Total domination by Laraque. Did you see how BGL let Cote back up after he knocked him down to one knee? I love to see stuff like that. Credit to Cote who took a massive beating but wouldn't go down. Lots o' heart from that kid.

Maybe Laraque has been reading these forums, where we all call him a boring fighter. :D

Cote has been looking much better lately too. Early on in the year, all his fights were entertaining but he was usually losing. Now he's started winning too...well, up until last night! Just gotta credit Laraque for the beatdown.

Hopefully the Rangers show up and play physical tonight, cause theres matchups a plenty in this Philly/NYR game potentially. Should be fun watching Avery and Downie whenever theyre out together.

Hmmm...actually Boston/Ottawa might be the more appealing game. All of the toughs in, Ottawa already down, and you just know theyre going to end up brawling sooner or later...

I think I love Lecavalier. He handed it to Burrows last night. I think Burrows actually ended up grappling one of Vinny's legs at the end. Weak!

Burrows is such a puss. Vinny was pounding the s*** out of him, so he grabs ahold of his leg. Later in the game he tries to hit Vinny from behind, over comes Chris Gratton and beats the snot out of him, causing him to turtle. I hate that guy.

I love Vinny. He is, in my opinion, one of the best all around players in the game. He can do just about anything, whether it be score, hit, win faceoffs, play defensivily, and even fight.

There are not many high profile players that can do what he does, and it's a shame that he doesn't get that much credit. The only thing he lacks is leadership, but he makes up for it in the rest of his game.

"Burrows" tried to find a hole to hide in after Vinny started pounding him.

(this joke gets double points for being on Groundhog Day, thank you)

I love Vinny too Kp, I'd also say he's the best all around player in the league. I wish he'd get out of Tampa and go somewhere in the Western Conference. It'd be pretty cool to see him somewhere like St Louis, or Dallas.

Getting excited over a game has resulted in letdowns lately, but as a fight fan you really cant ask for a better matchup than Anaheim vs Philly.

Not sure i can recall a matchup with this many guys on each team who are willing to throw down. Just have to pray that both teams are in a pissed off mood. Anaheim in the midst of a losing stretch, and Philly just getting stomped on by the Rags in their last home game.

Oh the thought of seeing -

Cote vs Parros

Perry vs Downie

Moen vs Vandermeer

Any of Getzlaf/Beauchemin/O'Donnell etc vs Hartnell or Richards

The possibilities are endless.

Anyone remember last years playoffs after Burrows slashed Morrow in the leg? Morrow has to be helped up, but instead of being helped to the locker room, Morrow limps over to Burrows and clocks him.

I'll be watching that one as well. I'll probably DVR the Wings game so I don't miss it.

That's quite a matchup. I'll probably DVR this one, as it looks like it could be a very entertaining game.

You forgot your boy May. Also how about seeing the 2 spotpickers fight, Hatcher vs. Pronger. Seriously, though, Philly lacks a real enforcer, and as much as their fans hated him, they should never have let Brashear go.

I think Riley Cote is starting to emerge a bit though as the year goes on, sure he was no match for Laraque....but a guy like Parros he can beat. He did take Peters twice i believe and also McGrattan. I know what you mean about Brashear though. Yeah i did forget to mention May (shame on me!), a fight between him and Cote would be a wild slugfest for sure. May would most likely lose, but thats the kinda matchup that has fight of the year capabilities written all over it. Two entertaining guys who fight wildly.

Watching Belak fight is about as exciting as taking in a 16 inning baseball game, so you're not missing much.
