Shockwave180 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 The nice thing about this game is that the Ducks played last night too; usually, when the Wings come to So-Cal, they end up playing the second leg of the local doubleheader at a disadvantage because they've played the night before and the Ducks or Kings haven't. This time, it's all even. No excuses either way. I will be there with The Nation once again. It's been a long time since we went 2-0 in SoCal. Hopefully we can do it tonight. WingNutt 12 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 I think we'll be ok. We'll start off a little shaky from the jet and bus lag, but we'll come back strong and win this game. The Ducks haven't seen the DZH line this year yet, and I don't know if Chrissy Pronger can handle them. and I hope Drake kicks Perry's ass tonight as well. Look out for Homer, I have a feeling he will be taking it to the Ducks tonight, Pronger will be all over him but noone can stop Homer Lets Go wings
drwscc 212 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 When you're hot you're hot, when you're not you're not. Wings 4 (Dats, Z, Homer, Draper) Ducks 2 (Bert, Douchebag) Is there a specific Douchebag here, or is it a generic "some other Duck will score" prediction? Sad that I have to ask, but the Ducks are stacked with Douchebags.
Izzy24 44 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 Today's game will be decided by the magic letterboard. The Wings have "K". All players with K in their surname will score a goal, all with K in their first name will have an assist: Nick L. will assist Kronwall. Henirk will assist Datsyuk. Nik K. will assist Drake. Kris will assist Rafalski. Kirk will assist Kopecky (twice, of course). Dominik Hasek will assist himself. Sammy will return on "S" day. The Ducks have the letter "Q". Congrats to Andy McD of the Ducks on the new baby. Where does Christos Kostas Tselios fit into this?

Covenant 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) That Boogard dude is amazing, I think I just read he's 6'7", 268??? WTF?? Tuzzi ain't a small dude, and Boogard just flattened him immediately. Too bad the $4M man got a concussion, I'm sure it's a pretty severe one. I think it will be a blow-out, not sure which way - - -but naturally I'm hoping it's the Wings coming out on top. San Jose ain't no joke day after tomorrow either. If we can manage to clear the crease, Dom will be just fine. Is it just me, or is anyone else completely underwhelmed by Kronwall again. For every nifty pass he seems to make a lousy one, and his size is certainly a disadvantage re: what I mentioned above, clearing the crease. Everyone knows if Dom makes a stop, and can't find the rebound, out comes the snow-angel-of-death. Getzlaf gives us fits, but somehow.. without 48-goal man Selanne, this just isn't the same team. Of course Niedermeyer is a stud too.. and their D isn't quite up to our level either. They might scrap out a win, but clearly on paper this year, advantage Red Wings. Can't stand reading the pundits--they're still saying the Ducks are the "class of the west", and they'll likely get over their troubles and take the conference. If Selanne and Niedermeyer don't return soon, they might be too far off the pace to even make the playoffs. *Edit: Just read that Pahlsson is back - what a good player - -that'll help them immensely. 55fan 5,133 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 Where does Christos Kostas Tselios fit into this? The magic letterboard does not apply to middle names; however, given that this is Chris Chelios, that makes it a very different matter indeed. Oh, dear, I'm going to have to refer you to sirdrake for that one. I would have to ask what's stopping Chris Chelios from fitting in wherever he wants to. (Answer: nothing.) Unfortunately, I do not know if that also applies to Christos K Tselios. Sirdrake? We need a ruling on this one.

NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 ducks may come out like crazy 2 morrow and wings might be tired like Hudler stated too close to call this one No more tired than the Ducks. They played last night as well. To top it off, the Wings will be playing a rested Hasek, where as the Ducks will either start Bryzgalov or Giguere for the second time in as many nights. HuntsVegas Baby 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2007 OK latest odds... Anaheim $ 1.78 Detroit $1.95 Should I get me some of those? Wow! Over here we have Detroit Even Anaheim -120 Total 5 -120 You sure get some screwy odds over there! If I am reading you right Detroit is almost gettting 2 to 1 for a straight up win? Or are they giving half money, meaning you pay $1.95 to win $1.00? Either way is off from here. My pick: Take the over 5 (-120), looking for 4-2 or atleast 2-2 w/ shootout.
