puckbags 863 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 To throw Luongo under the bus is just crazy..the guy can only play good for so long until people have to start looking at the bunch of losers they have playing in front of him!! Now with Salo and Bieksa gone for what looks like a decent amount of time I would say it's gonna be tough for them to play the same kind of hockey they played after xmas last year!! It's quite funny how none of my friends who are Canucks fans want to talk hockey with me right now!!
RedLightGoesOn 81 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 (edited) And you all thought I was crazy when I said whats the chance of Luongo beoming a Red Wing (editted for horrible spelling) Edited November 2, 2007 by RedLightGoesOn

Just wait until the Wings lose 2 or 3 in a row this season or have a 10 game record of 5-5 or 6-4 perhaps. Then panic mode will be in full swing in here unfortunately. Offsides 21 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 I was thinking the same of Wings fans .. haha. But really...that's what happens when you think that a goalie will be your savior...you need to not rely on one player...and then freak out when everything's not going perfect. grsbmd 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 (edited) Am I the only one who doesn't find this funny? Those are awful freak injuries to Bieksa and Salo. Severed Achilles Tendon and Fractured Orbital Bone sound like two of the worst injuries possible. Edited November 2, 2007 by grsbmd

Just pointing out that the canuck fans are freaking out over their performance as of late. Edited November 2, 2007 by Duck Guy

Severed Achilles Tendon and Fractured Orbital Bone sound like two of the worst injuries possible. I don't think anyone's laughing at those guys injuries only the fans reacting so soon to a poor start. I think it's quite obvious that Naslund doesn't want to be there anymore. He doesn't fit into their new, tight-checking style and it might be time for him to move on. The Sedin twins, Bieksa and Luongo are the only things that team has going on. Morrison has gone straight into the toilet and people keep waiting for Linden to return to his 1993 self. Minnesota is this years Vancouver.

Minnesota is this years Vancouver. Your right about what you said there. Though as of the last 5 or 6 games, the Sedins haven't done anything. It's absurd to blame Lou, he's one player not the whole team. Yeah he's letting some questionable goals in, but when your team isn't scoring that doesn't help in any shape or form. They need to move some of there core players, ie Naslund and Mo, there just not producing like they once did. Pretty much as soon as Bert left Naslund point perduction has gone way down hill.. T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 That team has been in a tailspin ever since they traded away Garth Butcher. Talk about a team with an identity crisis. Naslund is a good hockey player but he is no "C". Time to move him and Morrison Am I the only one who doesn't find this funny? Those are awful freak injuries to Bieksa and Salo. Severed Achilles Tendon and Fractured Orbital Bone sound like two of the worst injuries possible. Not one person here sounded like they were laughing at the injuries, how on earth could you come up with that? I am, however, chuckling that only someone from Ann Arbor would reply that way. Then panic mode will be in full swing in here unfortunately. True enough. However, Nuckleheads have a legitimate reason to panic right now: they all know -- whether they choose to admit it or not -- that their team flat-out sucks and has no chance of competing for the Cup with the way the roster looks at the moment. Not to mention the increasingly public tension between Vigneault and...well, just about everyone on that team. With the Wings, you always know they're going to bounce back. grsbmd 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2007 I am, however, chuckling that only someone from Ann Arbor would reply that way. I'll leave this one alone. But I will say that I'd be pushing the panic button too if my team had no offense to speak of, was already near last place and just lost two of its best defensemen for possibly the rest of the season. I feel bad for Canucks fans right now.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 Karma is a *****, people. Has anyone stopped to think what we're going to do one year when the WIngs aren't so good? I mean, we haven't had a truly bad year since what...93? The 80s? What are we going to do? I know I've never been old enough to be a fan to experience a truly bad season. I guess life moves on, but imagine how those fans must feel.

I guess life moves on, but imagine how those fans must feel. The Wings last bad season was in the year 1990. I was 6 years old at the time, and I remember many occasions where my father, who is a very "passionate" fan was fuming at many points over that season. I watched some games, but as a young kid I really don't know all that much yet about it.
Shockwave180 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 As a couple have already said, laughing at other message boards for panicking is pretty ironic. But still, Vancouver's start has been quite awful.
