Sunday, Jan 20 @Stars L 2-5 Game Trax | Box Score Wednesday, Jan 23 Red Wings L 1-2 Game Trax | Box Score Thursday, Jan 24 @Kings L 1-3 Game Trax | Box Score Wednesday, Jan 30 @Wild L 1-5 Game Trax | Box Score Friday, Feb 1 @Blues OTL 0-1 Game Trax | Box Score Saturday, Feb 2 @Flyers L 0-3 Game Trax | Box Score Not only have they lost 6 in a row, they were only able to score 5 goals in those 6 games. This wouldn't be a problem if they had a lock on a playoff spot but they are currently only 2 points above #8 and the #9 and #10 teams have 3 and 4 games in hand. They are now #30 in GAA. If this s*** continues until the trade deadline I think we'll see a big move by Burke. Everyone wants that 1st rounder from Edmonton. b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 As much as I love the Ducks woes, especially since Neidermeyers return and the announced return of Selanne and Brian Burke being the devil, I would hate to face the Ducks in the first round. But I don't see them being #8 seed either way, so I'll continue to root for the team opposite Anahiem. As much as I wouldn't want to play a POS chincy team like the Ducks again, am I insane for almost wanting to see Wings-Ducks II in the playoffs so the Wings could beat them and shut some people up??? Hehehe While the losing streak certainly doesn't help their cause obviously, unless you are on the outside looking in like Los Angeles, who has the most difficult chance to make the playoffs I think (and Chicago and Edmonton to a slightly lesser extent), it's a little premature to say anybody is in deep doo doo. Every team has their snags throughout a season, and they all end at some point in time. A team as good as the Ducks will end this snag sooner than later I think. I know we don't have them like the Duckies, but I could remember like a month ago where they were only handful of points back from us. Now we're like 8 games ahead of them. This is why the Wings' incredible regular season doesn't even excite me that much. All teams start with a 0-0 record in the playoffs. I think alot of this losing streak is the fact they (Ducks) are playing teams that have either only one chance or their last chance to knock off the Champs. Like I have always said, teams get up to play the Defending Champs. Honeslty the Ducks could have won 4 of those games, they should have beat the Wings, but 2 turnovers and the Wings made them pay!! Last nights game was terrible ducks could not get anything but hopefully they can rebound with teemu coming back and they will start playing better and maybe i will notice that weight is on the ice for once.
