Why couldn't the Kings just be the joke we know they are?

For whatever reason, the puck possession wasn't working tonight, and the Kings got a lot of quality scoring chances.

Damn straight. I have no problem believing we could cream the Kings with a full 60 minute effort. We havent had that for a couple games.

Those last two goals were bad. Osgood is notorious for letting in blue line shots though. The first three however were the teams fault.

Granted I guess it's not as bad as the ones labarba (or however you spell it) let in.

nothing like surrendering a two-goal lead and letting in 4 in the third to the worst team in hockey. oh-well, we've won eight straight, we were due i suppose. still, up 3-1 in the third... ouch. well, we do have a knack for playing down to team's levels.

think about this: for both teams, this was a rare effort. which side would you rather be on: the side who seriously underperformed and took a bad but rare loss, or the side who -- OH MY GOD -- actually beat a good team. i'll still take being a wings fan any day. yeah, you don't want to lose to the kings, but all good things...as they say.

Wow. Terrible goals? Exaggerrate much? The last two were the one's he could of stopped. Other than that none were his fault, and the team played like crap after the first. Just in case you didn't notice. But hey, I understand, it's always SO much easier to blame it on the goalie.

Some of you are so damn spoiled with wanting to win all the time it's pathetic. They won their last 8, GOD forbid they lose one.

I literally am sitting here attempting to figure how the Red Wings give up four straight goals to L.A., losing a two-goal lead in the third period. I would have bet my life that the Wings would have held on to this one after two periods. Really, really strange game.

I think it's safe to say after tonight that Hasek will start to get more of a regular rotation. I'm not blaming Ozzie at all, but you can just sort of sense it coming. Osgood hasn't been stellar since before the All-Star break, and this provides a window for the Wings to assert Hasek as the starter.

This one really bums me out, honestly. I was very excited heading into ths weekend, but now I'm just angry. Here's to a better effort on Saturday.

Absolutley pathetic effort by everyone not named Zetterberg.

Can I ask why Matt Ellis was in the lineup? That guy brings nothing at all to the team. At least with Drake, all be it the dinosaur he is, he'll at least give you one rare hit a game. Ellis doesn't do s***. I know it's the LA Kings, but unless there are injuries, that guy shouldn't be in the lineup.

One thing I noticed tonight was that it seemed like career underachiever Brad Stuart was playing harder than I've ever seen him play. He really had a hell of a game. I'm wondering if he was trying to make a case for the Wings management, because it's been rumored he'd be coming here...

On a positive note, since there weren't many, I got to watch the game in HD tonight, and man, what a difference! The picture is so much better. I now know the expierence of watching sports in HD.

Riight. Because being 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against, and a 96.4% in his last three games is just god awful. Totally not stellar.

Yeah, two terrible goals out of five. And, he should've been able to stop one of the so called "good goals". A good goalie doesn't let in two s*** goals and three good ones, especially to the last place team.

Yeah, I'm so spoiled and totally called out the whole team and am totally jumping ship. I mean, they don't stand a chance at winning anything now. Stop putting words into my mouth.
