Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 6-8 weeks? This is so ******* terrible! f***, he was well on his way to having a career season and now he's gone until the playoffs. f*** f*** f***. Well, now Kenny HAS to make a move. Our secondary scoring after Cleary sucks, and no Kronwall either. This is just terrible. f*** you Sammy, you finally shoot and it takes our 4th best forward, f*** f*** f***. Guest Crymson Report post Posted February 10, 2008 FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK That's why I hate this son of a ***** of Samuelsson I somehow doubt that he was attempting to injure Cleary. Samuelsson was shooting the puck toward Cleary for a reason--namely, Cleary was screening the goalie. I'm sure you "hated" Sammy when he scored later in the game too, huh? Quit being ridiculous. Yea you can't really blame sammy for that one too much...I'm sure he feels bad enough as it is
LidsFan 68 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 This is terrible news, I really like Cleary. I love how he never gives up on a play. Six weeks is going to seem like forever until he gets back.
zata40 3 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 So we can expect him to be back anytime in between March 22 through April 5.....DANM IT!!
RedWingedKitten 9 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 NO! s***! s***! s***! Poor Dan, you gotta feel sorry for him. I wonder what Kenny will do.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Wow, he's out for a ridiculous amount of time. That's really a shame, too, because Cleary is one of my favorite player, and has been great this season. Oh well. This should presuade Holland even more to make a move at the deadline now, or even before. We'll see what all comes to pass because of this.
Guest Jeremy88 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Great. 2 things need to happen. 1. Filppula needs to step it up big time...we know he's capable of doing that. 2. Franzen and Samuelsson need to be traded for some serious 2nd line scoring threat. Maybe Hudler...
jim3033 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Trade Cleary, prospect, money for Hossa. He got hurt, gotta keep rollin. Trade Hudler for Blake.
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 TSN is reporting Cleary needs to have surgery - The Detroit Red Wings will be without forward Daniel Cleary for the next six to eight weeks, as the team learned that he will have surgery on a broken jaw suffered in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Article - Wings' Cleary out six to eight weeks
shannyfan1414 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Wow this is a big blow to the line up. I hope that he is able to comeback in the playoffs and perform like he was.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Trade Cleary, prospect, money for Hossa. He got hurt, gotta keep rollin. Yeah, thats totally what we should do. If you get hurt, your gonna get traded! Detroits management arent a bunch of dicks, they wont trade Cleary because he got injured, this actually makes re-signing Danny a bit easier. jim3033 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 haha yeah I knew I was going to get flak for that one. It sucks though, he wont be back until the playoffs start and then he might not be as much of a physical presence.

Franzen and Samuelsson need to be traded for some serious 2nd line scoring threat. Maybe Hudler... These three guys have provided 30 goals and 47 assists. Unless you're planning on trading them for Kovalchuk, it would be rather counterproductive to move them to bring in secondary scoring.

Well it's not like he's going to be able to say "no" for a while. That's it no more wings on my fantasy team it's to jinxy.

Vladiator 116 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 That sucks. Fedorov for 3rd or 4th picks as he too injury prone. Not sure anyone can replace Cleary.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 A silver lining to this is that maybe kenny will focus on scoring now to win in the playoffs and get off the whole we need a defenseman to win the cup.... Albeit it is really only speculation my some on here about the D and not really kenny saying it so.... OH WELL dear (insert name) please deliver us from evil and give us a Forward at the deadline or nothing at all
