Hes not having a particularly good year, but Erik Cole is ball of energy that hits and can pop in 25-30 goals. Plus hes got another year left on his contract, and with Brindamour out...they might be willing to go all in. Cole's stock has taken a pretty big hit this season, but I could see Carolina being interested in some of Detroits D prospects, as theyre really short on young and prospective offesnive Dmen in their system. Maybe Cole for a deal based around Kindl +? Its a thought...You dont have to tell me its wishful thinking, but jesus...a line of Cleary - Filppula - Cole just seems like it would wreak havoc in the playoffs...
