wow..i didn't want to come into this thread because i knew i was going to see people saying a lot of uncalled for things like i hope its career ending and im glad he got hurt and all that. Come on folks. don't be so harsh. Think if it happened to one of our players and you had fans saying that. I know I know its pronger and he diserves a lot that comes to him but to say things like that is just not the class of hockey which the wings and thier fans pride themselfes on.

I am glad it wasn't anything too devastating, Drake got hit as hard in the mouth last game and no one made a big deal of it.

I also agree with the poster who said it will be more fun to see Pronger come back and make a fool of himself again (a la the Stevie Y hit where Pronger ended his own season, go Stevie!!) than to see him gone for the season.

Hmm, you really misquoted there junior. Anyways, the Hawks certainly are doing well lately. But if you were missing Sharp, Seabrook, Lalime, Sopel, Keith and Wisniewski, they be doing much, much worse.

I think there's a lot of teams that would suck if they lost six players.

Here here man. If they are gonna beat us in the playoffs, they're gonna need their whole squad. And when we beat them, I don't want to hear any Ducks fans bitching "O Pronger was missing......blah blah blah.......Intermission BJs.....blah blah blah.......frisky post-game showers.....blah blah blah" None of that s***.

Also, if he's gonna get hurt, I want it to be one of our guys who does it. Preferably Sammy blasts a "Cleary" right into his face, takes him out for the rest of the playoffs. Then hopefully Sammy gets taken out a short time later, and we could kill two birds with one stone. Maybe they'll run away together to Barbados.

I don't wish him dead. That is reserved for people who wish others dead. But a series of injuries where he misses games is always great news when it's Pronger.

EDIT: for the record I can't stand Pronger, but also can't deny his ability and I also remember that I hated Chelios even more when he was a Blackhawk than I hate Pronger. And in spite of what people may claim or how they explain it away, Cheli was easily as nasty as Pronger. He didn't change his game because he came to the Wings and "got classy." He got older and outsized and had to change his game to succeed in the NHL.

If Pronger were on our team we would likely be explaining away his sometimes dirty tactics. And I'd be cheering him on when he crushed a guy.

First off, Selanne is a great player and is exactly what the Wings need. A talented scorer who can handle physical play. We would be scary good with him in the lineup.
