Feedback Requested: Site Performance

Unfortunately for me, Comcast decided that they were going to be doing work in my neighborhood today which resulted in me losing all internet/TV access from about 10am this morning on. I *was* able to get access via a nearby Starbucks from about 2:30-3:30pm, but by and large I missed most of the activity here.

So, my question is this: How was the performance of the site? This is especially pointed at those that have been present here for the last few trade deadlines, since they can compare it to those.

Did it go down at all? If it was slow, how long did it occur? How often?

Thanks!

meh. Not to insult you or your hard work or anything, but for me at least, there were plenty of times where there were major slow downs and a lot of times it wouldn't even connect.....

but the chat room was way cool!

I thought for the amount of people on here, it held up great. Obviously can't say the same for some other sites like TSN, I was having trouble with those. My only problem today was loading the homepage, it kept timing out. But obviously I just went directly to the forum so that was no big deal.

I have to say though, it was exciting to see so many people involved with the trade deadline thread. You could hit refresh every 30 sec and expect another 4 or 5 posts in that time. Plus everyone had their input, it made it really exciting. At one point I kind of ignored sportsnet and just started waiting for everyone on here to report what was going on lol

whenever i open a thread with multiple pages it seems to start me off on a random page, not the first page or the last.

for example i opened up the GDT and i started at page 4, then i closed it and opened the thread again and i started at the last page. does this happen to anyone else?

Worked perfect for me, I was surprised, the posting here was nuts.

Bottom line, if this site wasn't around, I wouldn't have found out about the Stuart trade until MUCH later, as I would have been on TSN.ca.

Considering the amount of posting going on today, I would say the site held up.

It got sluggish at times but not for very long periods of time.

Agreed, for the amount of people that was on this site I think it went pretty smooth

Not sure if this is related to crowded activity yesterday or today Matt, but I have had occurances lately where the forum stops working in the Internet browser I am in, but I open the forums up in a new browser and it works fine, while the 1st browser stays down.

I thought it did really good considering how much was going on, and how fast it was happening. Man, do you know how much your Alexa rating is going to jump, or what kind of adsense numbers. Good job, great site, and thanks for everything.

Cheers!!!
